CLASS | The Shula Region

Upon acceptance on site all types of class are able to rank up starting from 'Rank 0' --> Rank 1 being where the class bonuses begin and can be used- where everyone begins for sake of fairness, there are exceptional (also very rare and at Admin discretion) circumstances where any character applications mods deemed as exemplary which can be offered Rank 2, however this is down to hard work, past player actions or agree further plots.

In order to rank up, you need to post plain and simple. Each finished thread will be read over by a mod and whether its a wild battle, 2 trainers have coffee or a gym battle, you will be awarded exp based on how often you post, how good your posts are and interactions on site. Moving from rank to rank takes time, different actions will earn you different exp based on the class you pick, though we are keeping the exact actions a little hidden, moving between ranks will get harder as you move up obviously. The idea is meant to be that moving up classes is HARD and if you work at it, you will be rewarded with their perks, not that the perks are easy to come by

We will give you a hint though, each class has different things they need to do to level up, but all classes get rewarded for doing different things.

The following Ranks are currently applicable:

CIVILIANS

Civilians are the backbone of Shula's population. Most of them are just normal Shula citizens, living their lives independently of what's happening in the trainer world and has usually pursued a career outside the Pokémon-spectrum. While most civilians are law-abiding hard workers some has chosen the path of crime, Petty thieves and pickpockets are hard not to run into in the bigger cities. They have no interest in earning badges or ribbons; they usually keep Pokémon for company or protection.

Key Skill - Discount in the Shop and Handy Shop, starting at 2% for Rank 1 and moving up 2% every Rank

TRAINER

Trainers are the most common Pokémon-keeping rank, save the civilians. They strive to become the strongest and by that, Defeating all the gyms and the Elite Four. To an extent, you’re officially considered a trainer if you carry a Pokémon with you but individuals wanting to conquer the Shula League are commonly referred to as trainers. Trainers comes in all ages, shapes and sizes but legally speaking, anyone younger than 10 is not allowed to be a trainer.

Rank 5 - Battle Veteran

Key Skill - The ability to ask for or mention the type, single type, of Pokemon they are seeking to train against or catch in a wild thread with an increased chance to find it, increasing at 2% as ranking up.

COORDINATOR

Coordinators are people who, just like normal trainers, are trying to become the best. They participate in what is known as Pokémon contest, an event where the objective is not to knock out your opponent's Pokémon. Instead your Pokémon must show it's beauty and grace by performing attacks in an as extravagant way as possible.

Key Skill - When taking part in a contest, you gain one extra judges point per rank you have earned.

BREEDER

Breeders are not interested in Gyms or Contests; they aim to produce eggs with exclusive moves. But breeding doesn't just involve taking care of eggs; Breeders also want to make their Pokémon happy and healthy. Many breeders cook for their Pokémon to improve their diet. They usually aren't as competitive as other trainers but will usually battle to make their Pokémon stronger.

Key Skill - The ability to ask for a certain gender, egg move or ability when breeding a pokemon, chance of getting what they ask for increasing at 2% as they rank up

POLICE OFFICER

The police force is what keeps Shula on it's feet. They take care of anything from pickpockets to murderers, Though the latter is quite rare in Shula. The police is generally respected by the citizens, If not, Most are wise enough to keep it to themselves. The police has so far been able to keep the criminals at bay but with Team Rocket resurfacing the Police might have too much on their hands to handle. Officers are often paired with canine Pokémon such as Growlithes, Houndours and Vulpixes. You can enroll in the police academy at 16, becoming an officer officially at 18, though its not compulsory.

Key Skill - The Ability to gain one encounter per safari or wild thread, this being a common at first level and having the chance to become swarm, uncommon or rare as you level up.

RANGER

Ranger's are easily recognized by their yellow uniforms. The Ranger’s main concern is to protect the environment and the wild Pokémon in it. With the help of their stylers they are able to befriend any Pokémon. In the past, Befriending Pokémon and then using them for battle was enough for rangers but due to recent development with Team Rocket many Rangers are forced to catch their Pokémon with balls instead to make sure Team Rocket doesn't get their hands on them. Rangers have the right to arrest people if they view you as a threat to the environment. You can enroll in the Ranger Training Base at 16, becoming an Ranger officially at 18, though its not compulsory

Key Skill - The ability to "track "a rarity (common, uncommon or swarm). This raises by 2% for every level earned.

TEAM ROCKET MEMBER

This is the basic rank and probably where you'll end up first if you want to pursue a career in Team Rocket. Regular members do all the dirty work that the Admins and the Boss want nothing to do with. While 'member' is quite a wide term, from the lowest grunt to the most respected scientist, all are called members. TR has been known to take on "runners" - you children used for simple tasks - from as early as the age of 12 but you are not considered a "real" member until at least 18.

Key Skill - The ability to "steal" other people's skills, 1 skill at minimum level. Eg they can steal the trainer skill of type choices having met a trainer for an entire thread, but they can only pick one skill until they level up further. TR's, you will be informed if you have threaded long enough with someone to learn their skill and you need to state the skill you are "borrowing" in a thread.

All classes can take part in all things, the exception being outsiders stepping in to TR or Law Enforcement without joining them. This means that your ranger can indeed moonlight as a contest star or your Police officer is trying to beat the gyms because they want to prove they are stronger or even your Tr member is gaining gym badges to show the system is corrupt.....Don't feel you wanna battle gyms, so have to be a trainer, or wanna enter contests and must be a CO.

Prestiging Class Gem's

So, while there may not be many people around who may have more than a single class gem there will still be those who with plenty of time, effort and work put in will manage to achieve the full 5 (hell, even getting to 3 is an achievement in itself!). However of course the downside is that the higher you rise and the skill involved may become less useful and make situations less of a challenge - well no fear! For there is a way in which to 'reset' your class to zero or otherwise lessen the amount you have (depending upon which you wish) and begin all over again.

"But what about my Class EXP? Will that reset to zero?" Nope, whatever class Exp you have earnt stays intact, it's just the gems that go. And no fear, there will be some appropriate rewards to sacrificing gems for those who wish to.
