So, uhhh...haha. I thought I'd provide these somewhere easy to access in case anybody finds anything here useful and also so I have an easy access place for some color codes I like to use.
> Wanna get better at code? Here's my biggest tip- tear other people's code apart.

In addition to trying to have references and resources pulled up (Shula uses bbcode, but the plugins we use implement a lot of HTML-type code), find templates you like and rip them apart to try and see what makes them tick. In mangling/editing someone else's code, you'll be bound to figure at least some things out!
> ALWAYS CREDIT YOUR BASE CODE.
> > Yes, even if you've edited it beyond recognition. ALWAYS CREDIT THE TEMPLATE YOU STARTED WITH. Also, this goes without saying, but...never sell codes that you made using someone else's template as a base. That's scummy.

Sure, it might look pretty, but there's no point to a pretty template if nobody knows what the hell you're saying!

If you're getting into the nitty gritty of your code, however, and want to keep things looking clean as possible...you're gonna have to fly blind and stick to the bbcode editor.
> > If you end up doing this, you may want to switch your posting default to the bbcode editor just to avoid editing mishaps! To do this, you're going to want to go into your profile, hit 'edit profile', then navigate to the settings tab.
The setting should be there under 'enable drafts' (which you should also change to 'yes', by the way).
(I also have this in the form of a txt file- if you want that instead for your desktop, hit me up in the Discord!)
These are just color codes that I think are helpful, haha.
If there's anything you think should be included here or if there are any tips you'd like to include yourself, feel free to post a reply here! This is an open thread, haha.
CODING TIPS

CODING TIPS
(I also have this in the form of a txt file- if you want that instead for your desktop, hit me up in the Discord!)
Written for (hopefully) easy referencing.
BASIC FORMATTING:
[b]bold text here[/b]
[i]italics here[/i]
[u]underlined text here[/u]
[s]strikethrough text here[/s]
---
LINKS/IMAGES:
[a href="link url"]text over link[/a]
[a href="link url"][img src="image url"][/a]
---
FONT SIZES:
[size=textsize]big/small text here[/size]
1 - 8pt font
2 - 10pt font (the default)
3 - 12pt font
4 - 14pt font
5 - 18pt font
6 - 24pt font
7 - 36pt font
For a more specific text size, see below.
MORE COMPLICATED STUFF:
[font face="font"]text[/font]
[font color="color"]text[/font]
[font color="hexcode"]text[/font]
[.code]any code that you want to display in plaintext- aka, how the code in this text file looks. remove the periods in the tags, though. :P[./code]
You can also add 'styles' to those basic formatting tags, for example like the below:
[b style="text-align:right;font-size:25px;"]text[/b]
^^^ this bit of code aligns the text to the right and makes the font size 25 pixels.
With styles, you can get WAY more specific with your BBcode.
Of course, most of this is stuff you can just do with the post editor buttons! For signatures and more in-depth templates, though, hopefully this will be useful. :)
