Selina felt a chill run down her spine as she narrowly caught sight of the Larvesta just in time to utter a command. It was lucky for both of them that Miro noticed it even sooner, and was already getting ready to make a move to dodge it when Ifrit let out a Smokescreen. Selina allowed a smile to form on her face as Miro dove into the smoke to avoid the Ember attack. The teen nodded at her boss’s instructions and glanced toward the pile of smoke. “Get out of there and use Growth!” In an instant, Miro dashed out of the billowing smoke, glaring directly at the weakened Impidimp, taking a more direct approach this time. An intense aura surrounded the snake, causing the Snivy to snarl and pick up his speed, wanting to take the Impidimp on head on. Selina nodded at this before grinning, folding her hand into a fist and punching it out. “Tackle it, full force!” Selina commanded, prompting the Snivy to pick up the pace, locking eyes with the imp with fury in his eye before, at the last second, leaping over the imp, placing all fours on the side of a tree, and then diving toward the imp’s side to contact a tackle head first. The Snivy then flipped head over heels, distancing himself a little as he peered at the Larvesta a bit nervously. If that Flamethrower didn’t make its mark, it was hard to say that the snake would survive another hit. Especially without his Grassy Terrain set, healing him bit by bit. Still, Selina was being cautious all the same: Grassy Terrain would be beneficial for Larvesta, but not as much as Impidimp. Get the imp out of the way, and Grassy Terrain would actually add more to their favor than hinder them. Selina may’ve been a newbie, but the stuff she did knew, she studied, and the Snivy needed to learn not to rely on that move so much, especially since he didn’t really need to. Name: Miro Level: 13 (45/169) Gender: Male Ability: Overgrow Item: None Moves: Tackle, Leer, Grassy Terrain, Vine Whip, Wrap, Growth HP: 50/130 (+6Atk, +6SpAtk) Summary: Miro dodged the Ember attack! Miro used Growth! The sun is harsh, so Miro's Attack and Special attack go up by 2 stages each instead of the usual 1 stage. Miro used Tackle at Impidimp! (40BP + 30 (Growth + Harsh Sun Modifier) = 70)

Now needless to say the Impidimp would be more than a little frustrated win the fact that the cowardly - in the dark types mind - Magby had quite literally hidden from it in order to avoid the attack that were aimed for him. Granted this were a battle and many methods needed to be employed to be used in battle, it would not make it any better however, as such the dark fairy would stop short of the smog and snarl angrily to itself while glaring into the gloom. Well, it would just need to use other methods. However it would be foolish of the Impidimp to forget about the Snivy, realisation only setting in when the small green grass snake would be noted making a charge toards it at a faster pace than anticipated - though efforts would be made to try and evade the incoming attack it would not work well in it's favour. Rather the tackle would find it's mark and succeed in causing significant damage to the dark fairy - or at the very least enough to result in it's defeat. The Larvesta meanwhile would be just as frustrated as it's battling companion though rather than it's companion the bug would be more aware that it would need to pay attention to all that was going on around it rather than become too absorbed in one particular thing. that would be the very reason that it would notice the surge of intense flames that would be coming it's way - though attempts would be made to try and evade the flames the bug were not quite fast enough and would soon be consumed by the inferno. || Level 15 -- Level 17 || 0 / 150 -- 0 / 170 || Male -- Male || Flame Body -- Frisk || Defense -1 -- Defense -1Zen Headbutt, Ember, String Shot, Absorb -- Fake Out, Confide, Bite, Flatter, Fake Tears, Assurance Tackle & Flamethrower hit, causing damage both wild pokemon are defeated

The Snivy smirked at the Impidimp as he fell face first on the ground with a thud, and was pleased to see that the same fate would befall the Larvesta before he even had a chance to hurt Miro. To say that Selina was pleased with the results was an understatement. “Great job, Snivy! You did well!” The teen held a hand out to try and give her snake a high five… but the Snivy wasn’t interested. This was typical of him, so the teen just chuckled a little awkwardly in response. The teen wasn’t completely oblivious to Miro’s unwillingness to look Thorn in the eye, so the teen decided it was probably best to bring their attention elsewhere.
The fact that both Pokémon were down on the ground gave made Selina realize that this was the perfect opportunity to act: to make her team stronger. The teen grabbed a hold of two Pokeballs and leered at the two weakened Pokémon, holding a standard red and white Pokeball toward the Impidimp, and holding the blue and white Great Ball toward the Larvesta.
Selina gave them both a tight squeeze before looking at the two. The teen was certain these two Pokémon would be essential in helping her steer herself in a direction that would please Admin Thorn… and maybe even find her true place within Team Rocket… or anywhere, really. Without wasting another second, Selina tossed the two Pokeballs one after the other at the two Pokémon. The standard Pokeball was an overtop throw, intending to land on the imp’s forehead while the Great Ball managed to curve a little.
With Larvesta in particular, Selina was worried the ball would miss, but the ball was thrown in such a way that it was come around and hopefully land on the Bug-Type’s back. Should her aim have been right, all they had to do was wait and see what would happen. Miro kept a close eye on Impidimp’s ball, while Domino couldn’t take her eyes off of Larvesta’s. The Snivy wasn’t exactly keen on adding to the list of Pokémon under Team Rocket, but at least part of him wanted to help Selina succeed. After fighting Impidimp personally, perhaps a bit of a bond was beginning to form.
As for Domino… she wasn’t sure, but she seemed fascinated by the Larvesta for some reason. Maybe it was just another friend in the making.

Thorn stood with arms folded across his chest as Ifrit walked over and took his place next to his trainer. "Quick and painless. Excellent."The Magby cracked a finger or two on his left knuckle without looking up. The two had been really pushovers more than anything else, so it hadn't been a real test of strength in any way. They also were just wild Pokemon, so no humans were hurt in the process. Still, praise from the brass wasn't common, and the Fire Type knew better at this point than to ignore it. "Much abliged, Pardner."Thorn then turned towards Selina. The girl and her Snivy had handled themselves well despite the obvious type disadvantage from the Larvesta, and now it seemed like she was going to reap the rewards. He observed her remove two Balls and try to capture them both. Neither seemed overly strong, but at least the Larvesta was rare. He could understand a desire to capture that for a quick profit, but perhaps she had other plans. He planned on asking her once he saw if the fates would be kind to her. For now, he kept silent as a curious onlooker, oblivious to the reaction he was having on Miro.

And needless to say while there were a part of the two wild pokemon that may have been a little resistant to the general idea of having a human make efforts to throw a pokeball at either of them - let alone both of them - in an attempt to catch them, it were not as if on this occasion they were able to fully resist as much as they may otherwise have wished to do. All the more would be the case taking into consideration of the particular choice of pokeballs that the young female TR recruit were using for each of the two pokemon that were laying defeated upon the ground even if they were starting to show the faintest signs of movement. Now in the case of the Larvesta and the Great Ball that would be thrown towards the bug would be the first to come into contact with the bug type, the blue and red capsule would tap the Larvesta before opening and a beam of red light would be issued forth to surround the bug and pull it into the depths of the great ball. From here would it fall to the ground and begin twitching from side to side for a minute or two before finally coing to a halt as an audible clicking sound would echo through the air to indicate a success. CONGRATULATIONS Larvesta has been captured - don't forget to update your PC with Larvsta's stats and remove a Great BAll from your inventory.
In the case of the Impidimp and the pokeball that would have been thrown towards the dark fairy pokemon the red capsule would tap the pokemon before opening and surrounding the other pokemon with it's light before pulling it into it's depths and dropping to the ground soon after. This time and in comparison to it's counterpart the pokeball would be wriggling about considerably more vigourously and would almost look as if it were about to burst open and release it's contents once more - thankfully however this would not be the case. A further minute or two would pass like this before - finally - the pokeball would become still and fall into silence. CONGRATULATIONS
Impidimp has been captured - don't forget to update your PC with it' information and remove one pokeball from your inventory. (Also, delayed but Miro earns 78 exp for winning, Ifrit also earns 78 exp for winning)

Thorn and Ifrit walked over towards Selina. She hadn't wasted a moment and successfully enslaved both creatures that had been vexing them moments before. He had to admire her promptness, but wondered if she had any strategy behind the captures. The other option was that she simply caught them on a whim. Thorn did not have any such rationale about encountering wild Pokemon. The elite Pokemon he had gathered all had solid potential and served very specific purposes amongst his personal army. He spoke quietly, the augmented voice still rasping out from behind his masked visage. "I see you successfully captured them both. Do you plan on using them on your own team?"He wanted to get a better idea about how Selina's mind worked. While solid muscle like Edgar or a flighty face like Mila both seemed to act spontaneously, he considered neither very highly in the intelligence department. The Antisocial Socialite waited patiently for an answer.

Selina grinned as she walked over to both Pokemon, grabbing the both of them, and pocketting them both. She then faced Miro, who was quite pleased with himself, keeping his two hands at his hips, and his nose in the air. “Look at you being all smug,” Selina playfully scoffed as she folded her arms over her chest. “Alright, alright… you did okay, Miro. We’re onto something with using your vines to swing around the environment, but I think we still need to work on that a little bit.”
“Yeah,” To Selina and Domino’s surprise, Miro agreed. “I’m okay with working on that more. I think if I’m able to swing faster, it could help.” Selina and Domino both nodded, the teen moving to get her ball, before her boss caught her attention.
“Oh, sorry,” Selina said with a smile. “To be honest, I don’t feel like I have a strong understanding of Pokemon. I don’t really know what’s strong or weak, but… at the very least, I’ve never had Pokemon with these types before. I mean, I have a couple fire types, but no bug types, so… maybe I can learn to utilize these types better through these two. I’m not sure when I’ll encounter stronger candidates, and at the very least, these two could potentially be easier to work with.”
Potentially being the key word. Selina wasn’t exactly expecting Thorn’s question, but the teen had put a lot of thought into the capture. To be truly honest, though, Impidimp was one she wouldn’t have caught if it weren’t for Miro. She knew he would’ve liked to see him again, so catching him was the best option… since Pokemon were meant to be tools, however, that wouldn’t have been the best response to Thorn. So… this seemed like a better explanation.

And whatever motives that the younger and slightly less experianced of the two Team Rocket members was in regards to the pair of pokemon that she had decided on capturing and though it would still be early days in regards to fully knowing just how things would go between them and their new 'mistress' in the future. The fact that in the case of the Impidimp - much like it's SNivy opponant - it would likely be keen on proving itself against the one who had defeated it.
But anyway, now that the battle between the two humans and their tame pokemon along with the newly captured wild pokemon were over and the dust were allowed to settle - so to speak - the near silence that had surrounded the area in which the two humans along with their respective pokemon would begin to descend once more. The only difference on this occasion were that with a battle behind them the pokemon within the general and immediate area would be somewhat more aware of their pressence and be on the look out.
this however were just a part of how things were as a whole and what would occur going forward from this point would yet to be seen.

Thorn nodded from under his mask and walked right up to her, inches away. He stared down from behind his mask and removed it for a second. He let the air breeze by him as he locked eyes with the grunt in front of him. His face was stoic and stony. "There was no right or wrong answer. However, your logic is sound, and an opinion that I share. Never waste a potential resource, even if at the end of the day you just end up donating it to the Research and Development department or hocking one of them on the black market. Until you find the proper tools as I have, you must continue to search and evaluate prospects. Well done."Ifrit nodded at the Snivy, deciding to be diplomatic as well. "Mighty fine work there, amigo. You got some vinegar in ya."Thorn looked around the area before putting his mask back on. "We should continue our search. These two wild Pokemon were just a warm-up. Sooner later, hopefully sooner, we should acquire some marks to hit."

Selina nodded at Thorn’s assuring that there was no wrong answer to his question. The teen listened to Thorn, thoroughly taking in his advice as if he held the key to the knowledge of the universe. Collecting resources was certainly something that couldn’t be a bad thing, but it had occurred to her that giving Pokemon she wasn’t interested in keeping for herself to Team Rocket was always a plus. So far she hadn’t done a lot of that since even some of the Pokemon she stole she kept on her team, but she always knew that was an option. Still, how long should she try to work with a Pokemon before she decides to give them up? Eh, she’d figure it out down the line.
Selina looked over at Miro again and smiled as he was now facing Thorn’s Magby. The snake was fortunate that the Fire Type was congratulating him. It made hiding his apprehension a lot easier. “That was nothing,” Miro bragged, waving his hand a little bit. “I’ve been itching for a real fight for ages.” Miro folded his arms over his chest before looking over at Ifrit. “You were pretty good yourself. That Smokescreen really came in handy.”
Selina nodded her head before looking over at Miro and Domino. “Agreed,” she responded to Thorn’s suggestion. “Emolga, Snivy, this is still an ongoing mission. You’re both doing your part well, but you need to keep it up, okay?”
Miro nodded with a hum, and Domino whispered “Emon…!” in response.
“Alright, we’re ready for whatever comes next, sir.”

And whatever would indeed come next would depend entirely upon what the pair of humans would decide upon doing next, whether that be staying in their current location and hope / expect that something will so happen to wander across them in turn or alternatively they would choose a path to take in order to further survey the area.
For if the team Rocket Admin and his minion would decide upon lingering within the very area that they currently were within other than the lingering signs of the battle that had recently taken place here there were to be little other evidence of any other life now that the humans were done with what they were doing here.
Granted it would also be true that should they - or more like when - would move off from their current location it would also be true that there would not be any immediate evidence of life however there would be a potentially strange sensation that may overcome the humans and their respective pokemon - there would almost be like a heavy feeling to the area and also a faintly foul smelling scent in the air.
Assuming the two humans were to decide to continue along this path just what they may come across could either exceed the human's expectations or do the complete opposite.

Ifrit gave a little lackadaisical salute at the praise. "Much obliged."Thorn nodded with satisfaction at Selina's response. He had expected her to be much more excited about the victory, but she had quickly shifted back into business mode. This one really had some potential. The duo then began to move away from the singed area, not looking to stand around where there was no further activity. As the two began to walk, Ifrit sniffed the air. "Something strange is in the air, Pardner."Thorn took a moment to try and sniff the air as well, putting a few efforts into it as he was not as proficient in that sensory department as most Pokemon were. However, taking a few steps closer, even he could smell something odd. "OK, I smell it now too. That's...peculiar. Scout it out."Ifrit cricked his neck and then began to move forward, keeping low to use the grass as cover. Thorn waited back, holding out his hand to signal to Selina to stop. "Let's let our Pokemon see what's going on first."

“Emon…” Domino’s ears perked up as her face contorted into a rather uncomfortable expression, her nose sniffing something rather pungent and disgusting. Miro found himself almost matching her expression, though he made more of an effort to hide it. Perhaps, despite his disdain for Thorn, part of the Grass-Type wanted not to embarrass himself in front of the Magby, who seemed to be quite the tough Pokemon. Either way, Miro did his best to keep his composure, even if Selina could tell something was off. “Emon emon…” Domino was much less capable of hiding her disdain, nor did she care what the other Pokemon thought.
Still, she managed to keep herself from being overly obnoxious about it.
“What is it, you guys?” Selina found herself sniffing the air, her own face now mirroring Domino’s a bit. “Yikes, that stinks…” The teen whispered, cupping a hand over her face. The teen shook her head, looking over at how composed her boss was… how could he stand to keep himself together even with that disgusting smell in the air? She supposed Thorn was simply a man of many talents. When the man told her to let the Pokemon go investigate, the teen nodded before bringing out a Pokeball. “Snivy, return.” She whispered, ending the poor snake’s misery by placing him back in his ball.
A foul odor didn’t bode well for a Grass-Type. Selina recalled that it was normally a sign of a potential Poison-Type Pokemon, and Miro had already narrowly avoided being harmed by a Flamethrower today. Whatever was up next, Selina was sure Domino could handle it.
“Emolga, you go join Magby,” the teen whispered, nodding upward. “Take cover in the trees.”
“Emon,” Domino nodded in response, dashing off her Trainer’s shoulder and then up a tree, silently gliding from tree to tree in search for anything suspicious. Naturally, the squirrel followed her rather sensitive nose. “Emon…”

And in some manner it were both a good and a bad thing that the humans would have hung back due to the unpleasent smell - however this would not mean it would make it any better for the pair of pokemon that would be sent in their stead. For though the source of the foul scent would not be capable of helping such a thing it would be making efforts to not allow such a smell to be exuded too much but there were only so much that could be done. For the scent would always be there and as such would result in the 'trail' that the Magby and EMolga were coming to follow. though it would seem like an age for the pair of small pokemon to cover the distance from where their respective humans were waiting and their respective 'destination' thankfully - or regrettably? - it wouldn't take all to long for them to potentially locate what they were looking for. The sight of a pair of 'round' pokemon were to become clearer to them both in the form of the Jigglypuff and Koffing that were some distance from the investigating pair Level 20 -- Level 21 || 200 / 200 -- 210 / 210 || Female -- Female || Cute Charm -- Levitate || Status -- StatusGravity, Defense Curl, Pound, Play Nice, Disarming Voice, Double Slap -- Destiny Bond, Poison Gas, Smog, Assurance, Smokescreen, Sludge Koffing is of the Galarian variaty

Thorn saw Ifrit point out the direction and as they approached saw the two rather odd spherical Pokemon from a distance. They weren't two that you would typically imagine as pals. However, it was nowhere even near in comparison to some of the more bizarre things that he had come across while roaming this continent. Something like this didn't even bother mentioning on that particular spectrum. However, the two posed an interesting dilemma for the sociopathic Administrator. If he continued to just blindly battle every chance that he got, they would likely end up nowhere. They were looking to pick off trainers, not attract the attention of all of them. Perhaps fighting wasn't the best option to go with just now. "Curious. Let's see what these two are up to, shall we?"He stepped forward. Ifrit fell in line behind him, not even doubting for a second he was going to get another chance to smash in some skulls. Diplomacy had worked for Thorn before, and the Team Rocket mastermind of operations figured he could convince these two to abandon their little get-together if he played his cards right. A silver tongue could be worth more than a silver bullet depending on circumstance.

Important Info
Season
Good news, Autumn is here! The sticky heat of the summer is finally gone, but the bad news? Its gotten very cold very fast. Berrys have fallen early from their perches, fruit and food is getting caught in snap frosts and icy mornings and this is leading to very cold mornings, pokemon getting desprate quickly and dark and chilly evenings
Next season change ~ May 20th
Swarming Pokemon!
Encouraged Characters
Currently, our character numbers are pretty even, so aside from us gently encouraging more civilians and breeders...go nuts!
Numbers of Gijinka on site have dropped, too, so they're open to be applied for at the moment- though, if you're interested, go check out the adoptable threads for many wanted ones! They could always use players! ;-)
