It was another recommendation by the rockets research team to do some special training with his pokemon on a weekly bases. This activity would help bring a sense of normality in his insanity of a life as well as bond with his pokemon. Bonding with a pokemon sounded like a foolish wish. It was pointless. Yet, here he was.
“Come on out Bandit,” the man mumbled, moving the one side of his jacket to let out the salandit that practically lived in there, “Its time to train.” The salandit peaked out from his hide hole, head tilted to one side before slithering out and onto the floor. Adjusting his jacket and look down upon the fire and poison type, he gave it a nod. Salandit titled his head to the other side, unsure of what to do. Vallon sighed, his own shoulders shrugged. “I don’t know.”
Cool orbs lifted, scanning the dojo for something to help his pokemon. Spotting the straw dummy, Vallon nodded to it. “Aim your attacks at that thing. See how many times you can hit it from here.” Arceus does he have to explain everything to these creatures. Bandit turned his head, spotting what his trainer was referring to. He nodded, fully facing the dummy before standing up on his hind legs. The creature took in a deep breath, firing round after round of embers at it. And honestly, Vallon was impressed by this salandit aim. Pretty good for a low level.

To be honest, Vallon didn’t think much about it when he bought the egg from the egg shop. He originally went there just to see what all the hustle and bustle was about. And when he spotted this egg and looked at the what it was, there was something that told him to get it. And now, here he was. The two headed pink scaled ekins slithered up to him, the female head voicing up before the dopy male head could. “What are we to do?”
Vallon’s shoulders rose and fell, leaning back in the bench so his back was against the wall. “I don’t know. Train.” His hands remained in his ripped up pants pocket, flat gaze on the shulian ikons as she glared at him annoyed. “Train like how?” Again, the gijinka shoulders rose and fell with a shrug. “Figure it out yourself. You are smart.” Viper hissed loudly at the hybrid, frustrated with his lazy attitude. “Get off your lazy butt and train us.” Vallon’s gaze turned intense, towering over her own intense glare. Viper hissed, thought his time more quietly. She turned her head, forcing her male counter part to turn as well. “Come on Cobra. We will train by ourselves.” The dopy male head bobbed up and down in agreement, doing whatever she wished. Not like he had a choice.
For the next several hours as their trainer took a nap, the shulian ekans practiced battled themselves. Using the straw dummies provided, they would pretend they were in an active battle. Dodging invisible moves and sending attacks at the dummy. Viper letting out all of her frustrations with her lazy trainer on this poor defenseless straw human.

Vallon never realized how boring being free was until now. Although the man still had a lot to explore in Shula, it was rather plain pretending to be a normal human. Other than traveling around the region, there was really nothing to do. It was suggested to invest his time into his pokemon. And when he asked why, they said he could challenge other trainers to battles and compete in gym challenges to collect badges. The gijinka scoffed at the sight of the little metal things, a complete waste of time in his opinion. Yet, the man remembered battling the admin. At the time, Vallon didn’t care but now he remembered how kind of fun it was.
Blue orbs fell upon the spiritomb, a brow rose as it smile at him back. HIs rolled his eyes, looking at all the equipment placed around the place. All of it seemed useless. Instead, the man plucked out another sphere and released a creature. The gaseous form of a gastly materialized within seconds, snickering and floating around the spiritomb. “You two battle it out,” the man mumbled, turning to head to the nearest bench to sit, “I’m gunna sit over here and watch.” The two partial ghost pokemon looked at each other, waiting for the trainer to sit before starting. For the next several hours, the two ghost battled it out. Vallon merely watching, learning.

After what happened during their battle against the admin, Shade has been a little more rambunctious and it was getting on Vallon’s nerves. And in hopes to get what this was out, the gijinka decided to head to the dojo and let him battle it out against another one of his pokemon. Reaching into his pocket, the man plucked out two spheres. In a flash of light, two ghostly pokemon materialized within seconds. One, said energized gastly. The other, a cool and calm spiritomb. They both watched the man as he moved to the side of the large room, shifting a chair and sitting down. Once down, he nodded and mumbled “Have at it.”
Shade snickered, large eyes on the fellow ghost type. Suddenly, large red eyes appeared before his. He attempted to mean look Specter, but it failed. Specter sent out a confuse ray, only to be nullified by the gastly when he vanished into nothingness. Being a fellow ghost type, the spiritomb knew where he was and foul played him. Shade screeched, pain riddled him. A flash of light forced the move to be disable, not wanting to be hit by that super effective move again. His snickering returned, long wet tongue out ready to lick the ghostly ghoul. Spiritomb was hit, paralyzing him completely. In the end, Shade won only by a margin. Of course, Vallon did praise either of them. He simply sighed and recalled them. Who knew being free was so…. Boring?

It seemed that battling pokemon was the only source of true entertain in this world. And although he really didn’t care about it per se, the Gijinka was getting very bored with his new life of freedom. The man moved to the edge of the large practice area, planting his butt down and leaning back to watch. Much like before, Vallon orders his two ghost pokemon to battle it out for training. After all, what else is he to do.
Shade and Specter locked eyes, grinning sinister at each other before both sprang into action. Shade gave the spiritomb a mean look, only to go ignored by the foe. A confused ray was casted at the gastly, Shade easily avoiding that status attack. However, the spritiomb vanished into nothing only to reappear behind Shade and strike with a feint attack. Shade screeched, but was quick to attack back with a good old lick. In the end, the two spent hours attacking each other before surprisingly enough…. Shade was the winner this time around.

He was told to train his pokemon more. Or else, he would lose his freedom that he so desperately wanted. And what was more important to the gijinka, freedom or his time. It was a toss up for Vallon. But in the end, he picked his freedom over wasting his time. This meant, the team rocket grunt actually needed to put in some effort into training his pokemon. What a shame.
Vallon stood on one side of the large room. His expression flat, emotionless like always. Hands shoved in his pockets, half stumped over bored. The hybrid only knew of one way of training his pokemon, and that was battling with them. Unfortunately, the alien looking man didn’t care enough to go find a battle. So instead, he just pinned his pokemon against each other. One side was salandit, Bandit. And the other, the two headed shulian ekans named Viper and Cobra.
A heavy sigh escaped him, counting down for the practice battle to begin. At three, the sparring match began. It was bandit who made the first move, mouth parted to sent shots of embers at the ekans. Viper, being the more competitive of the two heads, attempted to dodge by moving to the left. However, her contested brother was too slow to release what its better half wanted. Cobra watched the ember came straight for them, only to his the loud hiss of his sister and turn to see what she wanted. But by the time the female head demand for him to move his half, it was too late. The embers hit both of them.
The battle came to end right there. Instead, the two snakes argued. Well. Kind of. Viper scolding Cobra for being so dumb and not paying attention to what was going on. Cobra apologized to his better half, his head lowered in shame. Viper was relentless though, going off on him about what felt like everything. Vallon simply yawned, turning to find a place to sit and take a nap.

You need to train your pokemon! You need to train your pokemon! It was started to get annoying. What did it matter if he trained his pokemon? What use could they be anyway? Despite his feelings towards the subject, the Gijinka still did what he was told like the good rocket puppy he was. A heavy long sigh escaped him, moving to the large room dedicated to help trainers train their pokemon better. Bored gaze shifted over the equipment, finding it all worthless. Whatever.
Reaching into his pockets, the rocket grunt pulled out two sphere. They burst open, one the familiar gaseous form of a gastly. The other, the slithery saladit. Vallon told them to battle it out by themselves while he took a nap, moving to a cozy spot and processing to take said nap. Shade and Bandit looked at each other, already use to this whole method of training. And because they already knew, the little sparring match began. It didn’t take long for the victor to be declared, roughly 20 minutes. Shade snickered, floating back and forth to gloat over the knocked out saladit.

Vallon didn’t really see the point of training his pokemon, despite the orders to do it by rocket higher ups. It’s not like they would be of any use. He gets that pokemon are like weapons, but wouldn’t an actually weapon be more efficient. In some ways, the gijinka could understand why weapons are banned from Shula. Under the wrong hands, it could be very dangerous. But in some ways, so could pokemon. After all, honedge was a legit blade. Whatever.
Reaching into his ripped up and well worn jean pockets, the alien looking man plucked two sphere out. It was that time again for his pokemon to train. And best believe, he wasn’t going to do it. After skipping last week, rocket higher ups were pretty tee’ed off. The ball burst open, the ghostly gaseous form of gastly and the two headed snake of ekans materialized within seconds. Like always, the two head bickered with each other before Vallon had to silence them. He ordered them to practice battle, leaving him to nap a in the shade.
Shade was use to this by now, attacking the shulian ekans without wasting a minute. It was also fun to pick on others. This, of course, pissed off the female head. And in return, she attack back. It didn’t take two long for the little sparring match to end, the shulian ekans getting in some good experience going against Shade who at least at some real battle time in. Shade won, but still. Enough to satisfy Vallon and keep rockets off his back.
