The following Pokemon (including their evolutions) are forbidden to be chosen as starters, ignoring the starters themselves as they are here simply to show how rare they are to come by.
However, in the case of starter Pokemon specifically, they may be caught later on if spawned by a moderator during a thread. Do not beg for a mod to spawn one for you, as they spawn at their discretion, and will not spawn one for you if you beg.
All Pokemon encounters are decided by rolls, so these can be spawned and can be spawned shiny just like any other Pokemon. Fossil Pokemon, as of the beginning of year 3, CAN now be found in the wild due to TR reviving most of them.
Also, at the mods' discretion, Pokemon can be marked as "over-used". In the event of this happening, it would be due to having simply too many of that specific Pokemon on site, though this is rare as long as people don't all pick the same stuff. Say everyone starts with a Poochyena so we have 10 on site, all starters, we'll add them to the "banned" section for a while- in that case, they will still spawn in shops and wild threads, but they just can't be selected as starter Pokemon.
As a note, Shula regional forms also cannot be selected as starters and count as rares, though they are not displayed directly on this list.
Regular Rare Pokemon
Fossil Pokemon
Starter Pokemon
Very Commons
These are Pokemon that are very common on site, as in there's more than a certain number of them currently owned/active at the time of updating the thread. What this means is that these Pokemon may spawn less frequently in wild threads, to avoid overpopulation. While you can pick the available pokemon on this list, its encouraged you do not as many of them are bred often and so are pretty easy to aquire via that method in place of being a starter.

Banned Pokemon
Certain Pokémon are uncatchable. These include Legendary Pokemon and their alternate forms. Some may be acquired via site-wide event in the future, so that all members get a fair chance.
