NOw in the case of the FArfetch'd, the bird itself were certainly more than a little impressed by the fact that in time the pawniard would come to side step it's own attack even if the birds own would be fast given it's particular nature. But then that were just how things were at times even if on some occasions beings so wished for it to have gone a different route entirely. Despite the frustration that may momentarily course through the avian being but would also come to push such aside and attempt to focus upon what were going on before him. NOw as the bird would make attempts at putting some distance between himself and the fighting type it would come to seem as if the bird were not quite fast enough - at least not this time - to evade both of the attacks that would be sent his way. though it would be true that some effort would be attempted to get out of the other's path it would ail, for the Pawniard's strike would hit it's target head on and send the bird stumbling back a few steps before coming to drop to the ground in defeat. Haunter Regent noticed what seemed to be a hint of surprise on her opponent's face, which she more or less expected. It was a decent burst of speed on her part, and despite the Farfetch'd likely being faster than her, it seemed like her attempt at dodging had its intended effect. She had her opponent right where she wanted him. The Farfetch'd tried to avoid the counterattack that followed, but it wasn't good enough. Instead, Regent was able to put her full strength into one solid blow that sent the bird Pokemon reeling. Thus, as suddenly as it had begun, the battle had ended, and Regent began to relax a bit. Niko took the opportunity to go up to Regent to get a good grasp of what had just happened. Looking at the scene, it seemed the wild Farfetch'd wouldn't be getting up just yet, and Niko, for his part, didn't have anything to really help the thing. A bit unfortunate, but that wasn't really his focus for the time being. " Don't worry. He gave me his permission," Regent said matter-of-factly, gesturing towards the fainted Pokemon. Niko looked between the two and shrugged. " Well, alright. What's done is done. We should probably move on."

And for the most part it would certainly be more than true in regards to the Farfetch'd, for the leek weilding bird were too weary and in enough pain that he were in no way about to be getting up again any time soon in order to potentially continue the battle that the pair had been engaged within - that were going to be the last thing upon the birds mind. About the only and main thing that the Farfetch'd would be doing for now would be to find somewhere in which to rest up before the bird would go about it's day and general life once more and see where it all took him, this would be all the reason for the bird to simply allow itself to remain laying where he currently was - after all he were not in any position to head off anywhere just yet so aquick rest here would be good and it wouldn't take long before the bird would recover enough to move.
But such a thign wouldn't happen for a while and unliely while the human and Pawniard continued to linger in the area, for even if the Farfetch'd were capableof heading of straight away he wouldn't want to headoff towards his 'nest' while they were observing - so all that were to be done now were to see if the Human were to follow through with his suggestion and guide his own team mate off further and deeper into the cliffs in search of whatever they were seeking out here.

Haunter Niko would ultimately make do on his initial suggestion, motioning for Regent to follow him as he began to make his way to another area of the cliffs. While the state of the fallen Farfetch'd was, perhaps, a bit concerning, it wasn't in immediate danger or anything, and Niko could only do so much to help otherwise. It wasn't like he wanted to catch it either, since it wasn't really what he'd been looking for. He soon realized, though, that he wasn't entirely sure what kind of Pokemon he'd be looking for at that particular cliffside. Perhaps just one that had a good typing? He'd just have to see what his options were. Once he had gotten a decent distance away from where he was before, he could see the cliffside clear as day. Whether there would end up being anything of note emerging out of said cliffside, however, seemed up in the air.

And as the young man and his Pawniard were to move onwards and away from the area in which the Farfetch'd would remain and continue to rest for however long the bird would need in which to recover the path further along from this spot that Niko would find that the area would go quiet and still to the point that it would almost be surreal and generally questionably as to whether there were anything else abroad after the commotion caused recently.
However at the same time it could also be said that some attention had been gained from the battle, to the point that the pair of tame travellers would have an unexpected and as yet unseen follower that would be keeping pace with them both though ensuring to keep just enough out of sight in order to observe just what the pair would come to do next. Though all would be still for the most part after enough time would have passed and enough distance travelled would there seem to be a strange occurance to begin plaguing Niko and Regent - for there would be a series of small stones and rocks thrown in the direction of the pair, so well directed / aimed would such projectiles be that could not be push aside as simple falling debris from the surounding cliffs.
Which would mean - there were something or someone around throwing such things towards the pair.

Haunter The cliffside seemed fairly peaceful, considering the general lack of activity. Nothing particularly noteworthy was in sight, and the only things that could be heard were the light breeze and the distant sound of crashing waves. The lack of notable activity gave Niko ample time to consider his current prospects. While he hadn't yet given up on it, whether or not he'd be able to find anything worth catching still seemed up in the air. At the very least, he hoped he could make himself useful somehow, but that all sort of depended on what was going on in the area, and from what he could tell, not much was actually happening. That is, until he began noticing some odd sounds, like something hitting the soft ground. Looking down at the area below him, he noticed some small rocks dotting the ground that he hadn't noticed previously. It took a quick second for him to make a proper correlation based off of this, but after some simple reasoning, he figured that he and Regent were most likely having stones thrown in their direction. That was certainly unexpected. What was even doing that? And where were the stones coming from, for that matter? He alerted Regent to the odd occurrence, and the two subtly went on alert. After a few short moments passed with no new activity, Regent was able to catch a stone in mid-flight out of the corner of her eye. She whipped around towards the apparent source of the thrown stones, and Niko followed her gaze. " Hey!" Niko called out firmly. " Who's doing that?"

And while it were indeed more than true that the area that the police officer that was Niko were currently travelling in were indeed peaceful and while it certainly appeared devoid of life, this did not mean that this were truly the case of the cliffside area the pair were moving through. More it simply showed that the pokemon that lived in this area tended to know of places where humans would otherwise not think to look in order to seek them and and generally hide from potential unwanted attention until such a time the wild pokemon felt themselves to be compelled to approach or otherwise interfere with said human travellers. At least this were indeed the case for the majority of wild pokemon that lied not only in this area but many others, though did not mean that this were the case for ever wild pokemon - for there were indeed those who would also be more inclined to literally charge forth into battle without a moments thought. Or in the case of this particular situation there would be those who would also manage to keep themselves mostly hidden but take actions to determine what the humans were like for there were many humans that were not always pleasent to deal with This latter reason would be the main one for the particular pokemon to be 'tormenting' the human through throwing small stones and rocks downwards towards him and the Pawniard, it would be interesting to see how they reacted while keeping mostly hidden and partially blending in with it's surroundings. this was up until it would seem as if the other small pokemon would have taken note of the last thrown stone and spun around to attempt to glimpse what the cause of such was combined with the stern words issued by the human that would summon the bold pokemon to make an appearance. This this would be what would come to reveal the Mankey moving close to the edge of a ledge not far above their heads and as such would be looking down upon the pair with a combination of intrigue and - disgust? Smugness? - general interest while staying silent, after all the human only asked who were doing this and nothing more right? She didn't want anyone else taking credit for what she had been doing. Haunter What the two would end up discovering is that the stones being thrown at them weren't simply flying towards them. They were actually going in a very noticeable downwards arc. Pairing that with the fact that past where the stones were coming from was an elevated cliff edge would make it especially clear what was going on. Apparently, whatever was messing with them was hiding behind a ledge. Fortunately, once called out, they were at least willing to make their presence known. As it turned out, the creature that'd been throwing rocks at them was just a simple Mankey. Considering the circumstances, Niko figured that made sense. Fighting-types definitely hung out by the cliffside, according to his sources, and since all the other Pokemon in the immediate area were either in hiding or completely absent, the wild Mankey being the source of their annoyance was believable enough. The problem with that, though, was that Niko wasn't currently prepared for an encounter with a Fighting-type, so he opted to recall Regent and send out Amrock in her place. Only once he did so would he be willing to approach the Mankey. " Excuse me, but were you trying to get our attention?"

Now whether the Mankey were intending to be truly annoying to the human and Pawniard pair was hard to tell, in truth the fighting type itself were truly bored and this had been one way in order to pass the time - it had just been somewhat unfortunate on Niko's part that it had been him that had happened to pass this way. Once the human had previously called out in an attempt to locate the cause of the 'falling stones' and the fighting type had made it's pressence known would the Mankey would come to sit itself upon the edge of the ledge that it were on and both began scratching around for further potential projectiles while keeping something of a lazy and wary gaze upon the human. ALl the more so when it would be quite interesting that the human would opt to withdraw the Pawniard and rather release a Torchic in it's place, this in itself would be intriguing enough to cause the fighting type to decide upon climbing downwards to the same level as the other two. the somewhat polite yet quizzical query put it's way would clearly surprise the Mankey, trying to get their attention? Now that was a good question. and one that would cause the Mankey to shrug in an almost dismissive manner - for maybe subconciously she had, yet also maybe not but they had stopped now right? Haunter Niko counted himself lucky that the Mankey wasn't showing itself to be particularly upset at having its antics called out. If it was, surely it wouldn't be so willing to come down to their level without any apparent hostility. If it had, then Niko could imagine how troublesome it'd be to be forced into another round of battling so soon after the last one. That being said, all he could glean from the Mankey was a rather nonchalant-looking shrug. That hadn't exactly been what Niko had been expecting. Then again, the Mankey in front of him hadn't shown any real aggression, despite what the species' reputation would imply, so he ultimately decided to take the opportunity presented to him to communicate with the cliffside resident. At his instruction, Amrock stepped forward and began speaking. " Hey there! Nice to meet you!" he said excitedly. " Niko here said that you were trying to get our attention. Does that mean that something's wrong? Do you need help?"

And Niko would certainly be more than right, unlike many others of her kind this one were certainly more calm and generally relaxed seeming in comparison - this were certainly something both amusing yet somehow slightly offensive to the Mankey that were positioned a short distance from the human and pokemon pair. For this were almost like saying that all Growlithe were friendly, loyal and suited for law enforcement - when in actual reality this were not the case for every single fiery canine even if it were a typical stereotype. But now were not the time to allow such thoughts to continue to plague her and otherwise fill her mind for too long, not when she would need to focus upon these two for while in turn this human and Torchic did not seem all too threatening who knew just what could happen if given enough time? This would be the very reason as to why when the small fire chick would come to move nearer and begin to address the fighting type, this would be all the reason for the Mankey to turn to look upon the Torchic and listen to what was said. < No nothing is wrong, I was just bored and wanted to find a way to amuse myself. Just a coincidence that you both were passing by. Unless you both need something? You tame pokemon and your humans tend to always want battles when out here? > The Mankey would come to respond eventually while looking between the fire type and human man in turn. Haunter " Oh! You're okay? That's good!" Amrock said happily. He might not have necessarily expected the Mankey to be in need of aid, but at the same time, he was glad that the reason for their encounter was a bit more mundane...even if Niko didn't see it that way. The Mankey being bored seemed understandable, given that the cliffs had proven to be a bit of a quiet locale that day. If engaging Niko and company helped break up the monotony, then Amrock couldn't blame her. Still, that didn't change the fact that they had their own business to attend to. Amrock turned to Niko and brought him up to speed, telling him all was well. From this, and the fact that the Mankey was behaving cordially enough for his comfort, he deduced that their encounter would likely work out much the same as their last. He decided to see for himself if that was really the case. " If there isn't anything you think requires our attention around here, then I suppose we wouldn't mind some training," Niko said. " Would you be open to that?"

Needless to say the Mankey would be patient enough to give both the Torchic and human males to interact with each other and generally get themselves up to speed with what were happening in regards to the mankey's action would the fighting type would briefly and boredly begin cleaning her tail. At least up until the human would address her, this would be what would cause the Mankey to look upon Niko for a time while she considered what he were saying and offering before coming to glance towards the fire type before she would come to answer - after all, there were little to no chance that the human would be able to understand what she were saying without the help of the Torchic right? "So long as your human is open to that idea then I certainly do not mind - it will be good to have something to do and it has been a while since I have had a decent battle. uNless you and your human desire's something else from me?" Well, it would only make sense to check didn't it? Haunter Niko wasn't entirely sure what they were supposed to expect from the wild Mankey. They'd already established that all was well, at least in regards to the Fighting-type, so offering up the idea to pit the Mankey up against Amrock seemed like as good an idea as any. Even with that in mind, though, Amrock was interested to hear that she was willing to provide more than just some simple training. " Huh," Amrock said, taking a moment to think. " I guess we're looking for some cool stuff around here. Y'know, something that we can really do. If you know anything about that, then feel free to tell us. Otherwise, I'd say we can get started anytime you want!" Niko observed this interaction and decided to weigh in once more. " If you two are ready and willing to spar, then I'd say we can begin whenever." It appeared he and Amrock were in agreement on that point.

NOw it were in no way surprising, of course this were another one of those humans that found the cliffs to potentially be a boring place to come visit, but at the same time what would the human actually expect? For there to be to be an extreme abundance of life to the point where they were tripping over pokemon that lived out here or something of the like? Well that were definetly not always the case, for there were less suitable places to 'hide' and the like for those who didn't always want to be observed and the pokemon here didn't always make a point of exposing themselves alll the time. But the Mankey were not about to openly insult the human too much because who knew just what the human would do if he felt compelled to do so. < Cool stuff? WHat do you think this place is? One of those fancy human cities with all the bright lights and such? No luck there - even if there was anything good out here it's hidden away by whoever has such and not easy to find. Just depends on what you are after. > The Mankey found herself responding in time as a deep frown formed upon the fighting times features. Now when it became clear the human and Torchic pair were ready to start would the Mankey come to nod before rising to her feet and position herself to stand across from the pair and give them a curious look for a moment. < So, you gonna start or what? > She asked Level 15 || 150 / 150 || Female || Vital Spirit || StatusFocus Punch, Seismic Toss, Leer, Scratch, Fury Swipes, Low Kick

Important Info
Season
Good news, Autumn is here! The sticky heat of the summer is finally gone, but the bad news? Its gotten very cold very fast. Berrys have fallen early from their perches, fruit and food is getting caught in snap frosts and icy mornings and this is leading to very cold mornings, pokemon getting desprate quickly and dark and chilly evenings
Next season change ~ May 20th
Swarming Pokemon!
Encouraged Characters
Currently, our character numbers are pretty even, so aside from us gently encouraging more civilians and breeders...go nuts!
Numbers of Gijinka on site have dropped, too, so they're open to be applied for at the moment- though, if you're interested, go check out the adoptable threads for many wanted ones! They could always use players! ;-)
