NIX NIGHT ~ Shadow in the darkness

Nix sat beside the pool in the middle of the dojo and she sighed gently, leaning herself backwards a little as she shifted. She lowered her legs in to the water of the pool and felt gentle ripples beginning to hit her skin as she did so, turning her head she noted her seel was looking at her with large eyes. "Im alright Rip, i swear" she said, lifting a hand and waving towards the water type who looked at her for a moment longer before she seemed to stop moving her tail and she suck in the water. The ranger was in a bad mood but she didnt want her youngest pokemon to worry about her, it wasnt down to her. There were so many new cases coming in to her right now with all sorts of something from just outright pokemon theft from gijinka to the more nasty things like people spray painting abuse on to the homes of people known even to be nice to gijinka. She hated it, but there was little she could do to stop it all. A splash of water over her lap made her break from her thoughts and she noted Ripley looking at her, a small float in her mouth and her tail flicking out behind her sending waves over her trainer. "Right, training, good work!" the red head said, giving a small smile. Training Ripley

Last weeks training had gone so well that nix had to admit she took the next day off from rangers work and spent it in one of the hot springs near the volcano, ripley with her which the water type seemed to find odd at first but enjoyed by the end of the day. The duo had spent their last training time diving down deep to the bottom of the pool and nix sensed this had really worn them both out, so as they traveled back there again this week, she went with another plan on her mind. She wandered through the dojo itself with her standard nod to the girl at the desk who looked very tried today, nix assumed from a lot of balancing dojo times between gijinka, pro-gijinka and those who were out to get them all. The red head sighed as she thought this but wandered down the hall, trying to focus on he fun of training over the sadness of other people. As she drew close to the room she wanted to use, she nudged the door open with her foot while her fingers tapped a pokeball on her belt and ripley was sent out. The water type moved to dive in to the pool and was most confused when she was in a room filled with targets. She turned, looking to nix with wide eyes, who pointed to a target and then grinned. "Water gun?" the ranger asked and the seel turned, sending a blast which missed any of the rings before her eyes grew hard and she tried once again! Training Ripley

Another week and after how badly the training in the target room had gone the week before, nix had decided that as ripley did want to come back and train once more, they would go back to the pool again this week as they had yet to do them wrong before she tried to get the pokemon to do something new and it all blew up in her face. The ranger was lost in thought as she stepped in to the dojo so she missed the girl at the desk trying to wave her over, though it seemed the girl noted the ranger was busy and gave up and went back work as nix passed by and moving through the doors to the pool. As the ranger stepped inside, she pulled off the pokeball for her water type and threw it up, sending a flash of red around the room and a small splash quickly followed as ripley was let out, saw the water, and dived in. Nix smiled at this, watching her white pokemon disappear under the water before she came back up with a diving float in her mouth and nix nodded, leaning over to take it before ripley sped away back under the water again. It seemed to nix that for every week she got down to the dojo and she and ripley got in some training that went well, there would come another week where the pair of them would try as hard again and on many of the same things but it just would not work out in their favor. The seel had asked to come up with her trainer and take part in the dojo again this week, though nix did offer the chance to kuda but the fire type turned it down when he saw how much the little water typed wanted to go. And so nix was sitting beside the pool in the dojo, holding a collecting of sinking rings in her hands in the hope this would be a lot like the training they had done before and so ripley would be good at it but not to hard to the point the poor thing pushed herself over her limit and burnout. The range threw a ring up in to the air and after a moment, it dropped and hit the water with a small splash. It began to sink quickly but a bolt of white moved towards it, grabbing it and the seel swam to the side of the pool and gently blasted the ring but to her trainer with a small burst of water gun. Nix had decided, after a few trips to the hospital and a lot of nagging from the elder members of her team, that she was going to try and take a few days off work and focus on her pokemon and herself. She went swimming in the cold ocean with ripley for her first free day which had been like a kick to the gut but it had made the stinging of the new lightning scar on her back better, and the chance to follow it up with tea with lila in seabreeze had been good fun. Day two had been a long hike with Tain, the deerling adoring the chance to run about and make all the odd sounds he liked before they stopped beside the hot springs for lunch and nix and kuda rested there with the chance to heal her back a little more. Of course for her day, shadow had asked for a chance to train and not simply to rest so, promising she wouldnt do much, nix had brought her sister to the dojo. The duo moved inside, the girl behind the desk shooting a worried look to the ranger who walked past a lot more stiffly than normal but she said nothing as the duo passed. Shadow lead her sister to the room they thought of as the "lilypad" room, waiting to be let inside by the ranger before the dark type dash forwards. She hopped on to one of the closest "pads" and she felt it shake under her, trying to balance herself to avoid falling in the water as nix sat down beside it and slipped her bare feet in to the warm water. Shadow hopped a moment later, diving for another pad as nix started to hum softly. Training Shadow

It seemed like it had been months and months since nix put in any training with her bug type, the bond between the pair was still close but the elder the flying type got, the less she seemed to want to fight. Nix understood that, not all pokemon were the fighting type and lila did seem to be moving more to the type to want to heal others or at the worst, try to put pokemon to sleep or slow them right down and let poison do the job. Nix didnt exactly like it, it seemed a little dragged out and curel to her some times, but it was her pokemons call and not hers. As a result, as they came to the dojo a little cooly with each other. The bug not quite talking to her trainer but going with her none the less, it took a little of the walk for nix to be willing to speak to her. They walked in to the dojo itself, through the sliding doors with nix talking about the weather and the bug nodding along. Though as they wandered through the dojo, the big chose the door with the flying rings and refused to enter the one with the bean bags. Nix rolled her eyes, opening the door to the flying room and the bug happily flew up and through some of the rings as nix stood in the door way and sighed to herself. Training Lila

Nix did enjoy training lila and she got the feeling the flying type liked it too but the more they worked on things together, the more the pair came to the sense the flying type wasn't really one who seemed to enjoy battling anymore. The fact she had wings was leading her to enjoying traveling and flying more, thus, this week for the dojo, nix had asked ripley if she would like to come along again. The seel was getting larger and stronger every day now and nix was confident with a little more work, the pair of them could find her a set up that made her happy. In fact, as nix stepped in to the dojo and let the seel out waving to the girl at the desk as the red light flash, the ranger started to talk over move ideas with the water type as they both moved towards the pool room. As they reach the door, nix sliding it open with one hand, they seemed to have settled on a plan and so ripley all but slammed in to the water with a giggle as she was close enough. Nix shook off the water that landed on her as the seel twirled to the bottom of the pool, both girls grinning to themselves. Training Ripley
