A Night in the Dojo

[Nix Night]

NIX NIGHT ~ Shadow in the darkness

Nix walked in to the dojo, looking over to the main desk and waving to the girl behind it who looked to her and waved back. She opened her mouth and began to speak before nix held up a hand with a warm smile, a clear sign it wasnt needed and the girl sighed in a thankful way. Nix asked for a room where one could work on endurance, she was asked to explain a bit more and then kuda walked in the door behind her. The woman's eyes fell open wide and she seemed to work out what nix was asking now, pointing to a door close to the main entrance but around a corner and nix smiled and thanked her before walking over. Kuda followed along behind her and the pair stepped in the door together, there were a lot of padded walls and punching bags around them and it was to one of these nix moved to. She took off her jacket and then lightly hit the bag before she took a firmer stance and started to hit, kuda seemed to watch her for a moment before he moved to one of the padded walls and stood beside it. A moment passed before he lifted his back legs and then slammed them both down hard in to the wall, there was no noise or clear sign anything was broken so he gave a grin and then kicked again and this time he didnt hold back. *something*

It seemed the new of the dojo being re-opened was not news being flashed around and shown off, something nix found amusing as it meant one needed to find it to be able to use it which struck her as a very smart idea if one that might the dojo itself didnt get a lot of cash. However down it allowing and indeed inviting past members back each week, she expected it would do well. She wandered inside and waved to the girl at the counter, asking about a room this week for racing over power and the girl nodded and showed her to a room away from where her first had been. As she moved inside, she sent out kuda who hit the ground and then glanced around himself. The track was plain and painted in to the floor but the floor was hard and clearly designed for all kinds of pokemon to be able to run on it, something the fire type grinned at as he moved on to it. Nix stood beside it, watch in hand and waved her free hand which sent the horse pokemon dashing off at quite the speed. She started to tap the watch each time he passed her, noting the times and seeing indeed how fast he was. 0.0

Nix twisted her hands together as she walked up the path to the dojo, picking between her pokemon in her head as she tried to think who needed more work right now. Deciding as she opened the door, she waved to the girl behind the desk and then walked through the rooms. She wasnt sure what she wanted to train but as she reached a room that was labeled "speed and dodging" she decided it was a good shot, so she wandered inside. Inside the room were a lot of tunnels, all running from one end of the room to the other in a maze of shapes. They were rather small though there was a sign on the door saying they could inflate should someone have a larger pokemon wanting to use the room and so nix bent down, she glanced inside and noted little foam bumpers sticking out here and there which moved every now and then. Ok, now she got it. Clicking a ball from her belt she sent out shadow, the fox glanced the room over, looked at the tunnel and then her ears twitched together and her eyes narrow. Oh? Training just for her? She had this! She ran in to the closest tunnel without a thought and was quickly bumped back out, shaking herself she waited before running inside again and this time nix heard her get further before she gave a shocked yelp as she was hit again. This was going to be amusing. Training Shadow

NIX NIGHT ~ Shadow in the darkness

Nix walked back to the dojo with shadow sitting on her shoulder for this trip, the pair moved inside quickly and then both shivered almost in time with each other as they got in to the warm. They each chuckled at this and nix then waved to the girl at the desk before she started to walk, moving through the dojo to the room the pair had used the week before. Nix stepped inside and shadow quickly jumped down from her shoulder and looked around, she remembered the room from last week and the way to beat it was fresh in her mind still. So, the little fox moved over to the entrance of the tunnel and looked inside, the padded walls moving back and forth as she watched them and she took a breath. She counted and let the breath out as she dashed in to the tunnel. A moment passed and nix could near noise and then there would be another moment but this one would be quiet, then a burst of sound and then another of quiet. It seemed to all go well for awhile until she heard a yelp and she couldnt help but laugh softly and hope shadow hadn't heard her. Seemed her sister didnt quite have her method right yet. Another week and she was back to the dojo, though this week nix walked in to the dojo itself alone. However once she was inside she clicked a pokeball and there was the trademark flash of red light before lila appears before her, the bug nodding her head to her trainer. The cold winter wind was making flying hard for the bug and the cold itself made her unhappy so she was spending a lot more time in her pokeball that she would have once but nix knew it was what made her happy. As lila moved to her trainer, nix started to walk with a little nod to the girl behind the counter before the duo moved down the corridor. Nix paused beside a new door, pushing it open and stepping inside while she held the door open so lila could follow. As they got inside it was clear the room was rather plain, a simply machine in one corner and a padded wall across from it. Nix walked over and tapped the machine and a small bean bag shot out of it and padded against the wall softly and nix nodded, ok she got it. "Lils, you gotta try and catch the bags and throw them back with confusion, alright?" she said as she moved herself to stand behind the machine. Lila looked at her before picking up the first beanbag and throwing it back with her confusion attack and nix grinned, finger jamming in to the "fire" button and sending another shot towards her pokemon. NIX NIGHT ~ Shadow in the darkness

Nix wandered in to the dojo once again with Lila beside her, the weather of the season was beginning to give way to the warmer breezes of spring and while the rain was now falling in place of the snow, it was nicer. Nix shook herself off once she was inside the dojo its and offered her normal wave to the girl behind the counter, starting down the corridor and trying to remember where the room she had gone to last week had actually been. She wandered for a bit before lila gave a little noise and she turned to her, noting the bug flying outside one of the rooms and tapping her foot on it. Nix smiled and then moved over to her with a small spring in her step and placed a hand on the door of the room to push it open, lila flying over her now outreached hand and in to the room. Nix wandered across the room, moving to the machine at the far end as lila floating back and forth in front of it with hands grabbing at the air. Nix turned it on and a bag shot from it right away, making lila drop in the air but she lifted up again and grabbed the bag just before it hit the ground and threw it back. Nix laughed at this, pressing the button again and this time lila caught it in midair and tossed it back a little harder. Training Lila Again

With another week beginning to draw to a close, nix found herself starting up to the dojo. She didnt need to get the training in, in fact she had taken last week off from it to simply relax and let her pokemon do the same, but it was always helpful to have help and it didnt take too much from her to do it so she figured it was worth a shot to return. She wandered inside, nodding to the girl behind the desk who seemed busy with something on the computer and so the red head started down the corridor to the room she had use before. She stepped inside and then lowered a hand, collecting a pokeball from her belt and rolling it in her fingers so her butterfree was sent out. Lila landed beside her trainer on the ground with a little "thump" sound as she lowered herself and nix then nodded to the rings in the room around her, "Think you can fly through em with speed?" she asked and as if to answer lila beat her wings together. She took to the air, moving to the closest ring and looking at it before flying through with ease. The second was smaller and so harder, making her tuck her wings in but she left it with a determinded face and aimed for the third.

Her team were all beginning to get to that point that battles were good and all but their levels were slowing, and while nix was not one to push them to be stronger, she liked the extra insurance that came from it. A ranger needed a team that could take a surprise attack or defend from one, the idea one of her pokemon got hurt on a mission because she hadnt taken the time to work with them was what was driving her to come back here again. As she and lila stepped inside, the bug pokemon was the one to speed off and nix laughed to herself. Kuda had taken part in the tournament, tain was a little stronger than everyone down to his time in his herd and shadow and nix were always together so nix sensed the bug liked the time she had one on one with her trainer and she also wanted to prove herself. In fact nix had to dash to catch up with her and found her pushing open the door to the flying training room as nix herself rounded the corner, a laugh escaping the ranger. As she got inside, lila was already flying through hoops and nix opened her mouth to speak before closing it and lowered her hand a second later. "Go on, show off" she said good naturedly as she lent against the wall and dropped to sit down. Training lila
