[Seeley Clive]

The Cafe



Name- Rain
Gender- Female
Role- Co-Owner

Rain is the second in command to Seeley in the whole Toastery, any questions needed about the establishment can be directed at her. Usually pottering around to help customers or helping out in the kitchen during the busiest of services she always welcomes people with a smile and a knowledgeable expertise of both food and retail.


Name- Kodi
Gender- Male
Role- Emotional Support Dog
The support puppy of the Toastery, bounding around the outskirts of the cafe room but easily beckoned over by customers wanting to pet him. A loyal and happy guard dog who is often called into the kitchen to restart the fire beneath the kiln if stew or chowder is on the menu.


Name- Reptar
Gender- Male
Role- Ice Cream Vendor

Not comfortable at all with technology, Nefi Village was the perfect place for Reptar to settle down, wanting badly to be part of the Cafe crew it was when he was using his egg move that Seeley decided to let the cold loving dinosaur have his own Ice Cream bar, so any sundae or ice Cream cone ordered will be lovingly served by Reptar and chilled to its core by the powerful Ice fangs he wields.

Role- Waiter

Very much the silent partner of the Toastery family, this loving little Dragon floats around happy to help any and all who eat there. With his expert control and fast speed floating he is usually the waiter in the Cafe and whisks the food away from the kitchen to the table in record time.


Name- Laxus
Gender- Male
Role- Sous Chef

Deep in the Kitchen, expertly steaming various items of food, the small electric Pokemon puts his talents to good use being in charge of most fish and vegetarian dishes. Although not on display in the cafe, anyone knowing he was working there or asking for the chef will get the chance to see him. A live wire and quick to temper if things are going wrong theres never a chance of a rowdy customer complaining about food to him for very long.

Role- Waiter/Pancake Thief

At first this chubby little Raichu was on the dessert station, making and dispensing pancakes but after more then a couple unfortunate mishaps with orders, most of which ended up in his tummy, he was relegated to be a waiter which to his credit he does extremely well. Using his psychic abilities to keep everything together on the plate, he regularly hovers around at high speeds to ensure people get their food the second it comes out of the kitchen.

Role- Dessert Chef/ Apple Connoisseur 

If you want the perfect apple pie, you need the perfect apples and if there is one thing this tiny little Igglybuff can do, its find the Perfect Apples. Every day in the Cafe the dessert menu has a warm apple pie served with Ice Cream and it is Strudel who wakes up early to make it, her and Reptar are very proud of their dessert and are usually seen peeking over heads to watch a customer who just ordered it.

Deep in the heart of the kitchen, an aged Scyther toils away giving every bit of effort he has into one job, chopping and slicing vegetables, fruit, meats, fish and everything else. Having spent his whole life fighting he was looking for a place to retire but needed something to do, having found it deep within the kitchen he enjoyed putting his remaining years into this new venture. Rarely seen within the Kitchen, anyone wanting to walk inside the workplace may see him at the far end expertly dicing away with his red headband on.

Seeleys Toastery prides itself on being self reliant, not needing to borrow much, if any energy from the power stations. One reason for this is the heating and fires for cooking. Whereas some places utilise gas or electric heaters, Seeleys runs on Pym power. The Heatmor doesn't say much and when she does it is usually sharp and to the point but she is never rude without reason and is always the first to act and put herself in harms way if something were to go wrong in the kitchen or on the cafe floor with the customers. An avid cook and a fantastic Steak Chef, she'll have your steaks cooked any way you like it and perfect everytime.

Role- Solar Panel/ Phone Charger

One of the reasons Seeley is able to stay off the grid is how much his Pokemon help with the energy used by the Toastery, one such helper is the Helioptile, Sorbet.
Spending most of her days up on the roof absorbing sunlight she eventually makes her way down of an evening and sits on the floor slumped against the wall behind the checkout, her tail plugged into the wall and feeding the solar energy she had previously absorbed back into the Cafe for future use. A popular hit with the locals due to how eco friendly she makes the Toastery, she always welcomes a wave and some attention and despite the static electricity coming off her will always be happy to accept a few scraps of food from customers plates as a thank you, or even a bribe to charge their phones as they eat.


Name- Jools
Role- Coffee Maker/ Building energy supplier

Jools serves two uses in the Toastery. During the day he enjoys being the sentient Coffee machine that everyone asks for their order, whether its the job itself of making coffee he enjoys or whether its the attention as everyone wants coffee in the morning, the little Rotom revels in the role and expertly dishes out hot drinks of all varieties in record time. His second role is one of the main reasons Seeleys Cafe is off the grid as the little spark plug essentially charges the batteries overnight as he sleeps housed in the main building structure itself. Some say the Toastery building itself blinks from time to time in the dead of night when everyone has gone home.

The Restaurant


Name- Andrew
Role- Concierge

Once you walk up the stairs to the restaurant the first sight you are met with is that of Andrew hovering next to his Lectern housing menus and information on bookings. The Psychic type Pokemon is able to speak many languages including those spoken on Shula so is able to communicate with both Humans and Pokemon alike. A stickler for cleanliness and upper class dining it is his solemn duty to ensure the customer has the perfect dining experience for them, regardless of what that may be.

Role- Waitress/ Cleaner

The copious amounts of white materials on the tables lend themselves to staining easily and it is for that reason that Chilli the Minccino is an Arceus-send. The little Clean freak runs and bobs around her head barely reaching the table surface but her agile nature allowing her to travel fast when delivering plates. The second a group leaves their table she is onto it like a flash, replacing linens and cutlery and ensuring everything shines as though they had just opened whether it was the first customer that day or the fiftieth.

Role- Waitress

In a building where fine dining and pristine conditions reign supreme you may be fooled into thinking a creature with the look of a Lickitung may be not fitting however one sight of Sally in her tuxedo jacket and Bow Tie prove this idea to be completely wrong. The consummate professional and careful waitress, Sally may not be as fast as others serving food but she never forgets a thing and never gets an order wrong. Always happy to go the extra mile for guests the Lickitung remains attentive at the side of the room, arms behind her back as she waits, scanning the room for anything she can help with or the next dish to be served.

With all but a squeak this little Ghost Pokemon can command the attention of an entire room. Whether it be customer requests for what outfit to wear the next day or the pristine condition he keeps all the Toastery staffs uniforms in, Dopple is one of the most useful members of the staff team and a popular hit with the customers. Speaking only in Squeaks the little Mimikyu expertly ducks between customers, staff and tables to weave an order of food through ensuring it arrives on time and piping hot. Many of the downstairs kitchen staff wait with baited breath at the dumbwaiter as they send food up and prey to hear the echoed squeak of approval at the top.

Role- Accounts manager and Security System

If Seeleys Rotom is the power behind the Toastery establishment then his Porygon is the brains. Deftly inserting himself into the electronic till system the Normal type runs all the electronic payments through in the blink of an eye and ensures the building doesn't lose a penny in wrong transactions. When the restaurant finally closes the Porygons day isn't finished as he inserts himself into the camera system and maintains a vigilant eye over the building from the evening into the early hours of the morning, scanning every angle from the various CCTV dotted around the vicinity. It is the combined efforts of both Adobe and Jools the Rotom that have ensured the building stays safe.

Role- Teppanyaki Chef

It takes a special kind of person to be able to cook with a live audience, one of steely heart and someone who makes next to no mistakes and that is exactly who Mako is. With his Teppanyaki grill situated in plain view of the restaurant customers it is his duty to cook and serve Kanto style dishes to order keeping in time with the orders coming from the kitchen. So popular was his cooking style and charisma with the audience that Seeley decided to do Teppanyaki nights where Mako could show off his skills to everyone, these nights were always sold out and the Makuhitas image with his trademark white headband is one people take away and remember long after they last ate at the Toastery.

The Bar


Name- Travis
Gender- Male
Role- Barman

What may at first seem tiny and cute belies a wisdom that all barman need. The well stocked bar in the Toastery carries enough liquors to create any cocktail in the world and this Teddiursa knows them all. Always happy to lend an ear to listen to peoples troubles and help assure them that times could be worse, this tiny Barman is a welcome sight for the regulars who know he'll always treat them right, whether its getting them the right drink or cutting them off when he knows they've had enough. Those that try and argue with him on this soon find out just how sharp a Teddiursas claws can be.

Role- Barmaid

At first Bella was placed in the Cafe... She was soon removed due to noise complaints. Then the little Psychic Pokemon was placed in the farm shop... She was soon removed due to noise complaints. It was only then that Seeley decided to do what was best for the company and place her in the sound proof basement with a bunch of drunks. Luckily she found her place in life and amongst the rowdiness of the patrons she was able to still be heard when a message needed to be passed along. During the evening she can seen washing up glasses and clearing them off tables but when last call comes around you can be sure everyone in the room hears the bell.

Role- Bar Security

Roaming the bar, Bowie was a welcome site in the Toastery. Patrons knew they could drink freely and happily without any worry of danger or threats from other patrons mainly because if they did there was an incredibly strong Zigzagoon with a darkness in his eyes and a jaw around their leg within seconds. The reality is that the little Racoon was quite popular due to his willingness to have a drink with the patrons, quite often the phrase "Bowie Tax" would be thrown around meaning any group buying a round of 4 or more drinks would buy an extra one for the security man. Whether or not Seeley condones this is anyones guess but it meant by the end of the night everyone got to go home safely and quietly extolling the virtues of the Guard Racoon.



Name-Bastion
Gender- Female
Role- Bouncer 

Some people say that Bastion guards the Bar entrance due to a blood pact with the owner Seeley where a Demon could be released if she falters in her job. Others say that the basement was carved out of the ground and they found Bastion standing their covered in dirt and simply built around her. Regardless of what the truth is the legend is constant to this day, you do not get entrance to the bar unless the Bastion allows it. Not one under age person has ever gained access let alone had a drink there, not one fight has ever broken out inside or out of the establishment and not one raised voice hasn't been immediately followed by an apology. The reality of it is when she isn't on the clock Bastion is a sweet girl who is simply a tomboy and she enjoys a drink herself from time to time but when she clocks in she is all business, never looking for a fight but quick to end one before it gets out of hand.

The Farm Shop



Name- Peebee & Jay
Gender- Female
Role- Customer Service

Within the quiet confines of the Farm shop the gentle giant Kangaskhan resides happy to help any and all who wish to shop there. With a wide knowledge on local produce and plants as well as a friendly demeanour Peebee is very popular with the locals and always happy to be a personal shopper to those who don't know what they're looking for. Her daughter Jay is just as happy and often goes off exploring round the shop, though she doesn't have the professionalism of her mother she is just as popular entertaining kids who might see shopping as boring after the fun meal they had in the Toastery.

Name- Bluey
Gender- Female
Role- Checkout operator

After a few weeks of working inside the Toastery proper, Seeley and Bluey discovered the Shiny Pokemons stamina wasn't up to scratch enough to last through a whole shift. Not wanting to stress out his little Azurill the duo decided they should put her in a lighter easier atmosphere and thus the Farm shop got a new helping hand much to the delight of the customers. Always happily bouncing up and down on her tail, Bluey became somewhat of an attraction at Seeleys with kids wanting to see the little Green water type. Whether it was down to her sunny demeanour or due to the fact that most kids might never see a shiny Pokemon throughout their whole lives it was unclear but regardless the little Azurill happily sits on a Checkout all day making small talk and helping the part time workers with serving their customers.

Role- Porter/Trolley Boy

This Hulking giant is often the first thing you'll see when approaching the Farm shop, curled around half the building, seemingly sleeping but actually keeping an eye and an ear out for any perspective customers that may need assistance. The huge bodies Onix has the playfulness of any smaller Pokemon but after a few mishaps early on he had been relegated to the farm shop to help out others in a quieter atmosphere. If ever someone over shops and can't carry their bags or if anyone needs assistance with lifting and moving this Onix is always one call away and is always happy to help. The sight of an Onix silhouetted on the horizon with a multitude of shopping bags in its mouth is a sure sign that the Toastery is open for business.

The Garden



Name- Spud
Gender- Male
Role- Caretaker/Gardener/Botanist

When the Toastery was being created, one of Seeleys Pokemon demanded a small area for himself to cultivate plants and herbs, the promise of the odd spice that the Toastery could use was enough for Seeley to give his Ivysaur a small plot of land for his own use. Over time this small plot grew out further and further both due to the success of what was being grown there and also the popularity of the area with the customers. More and more people asked to be able to sit outside to enjoy the view of the colourful plants and so Seeley opened up the whole garden, giving spud much more land to work with. The quiet unassuming Ivysaur often spends his days in his greenhouse cultivating the more fragile plants but if customers were to arrive early in the morning they would see the friendly Grass type doing his rounds and watering the plants ensuring they survive the harsh Shulian weathers.

Role- Assistant Gardner

Whereas Spud may spend his evenings hidden away in his greenhouse, Sam the Caterpie if often the face of the Garden team. With designs on becoming a butterfree so he could safely and quickly cater to the needs of the taller plants, the small bug type now simply enjoys cleaning the bark of the thicker trees framing the Garden, preening some of the rougher plants to ensure they don't encroach on other plants and generally keep everything looking spic and span, including picking up any litter. More often then not he spends his afternoons with the various children running around the garden, pretending to be supervising them but in reality playing and having as much fun as they were.

Role- Entertainer

As the Garden got more and more popular with families wanting outdoor meals in the summer and kids wanting an area to play, Seeley began to ask some of his Pokemon to step in for entertainment purposes. Distracting a child for half an hour would give the adults time to rest which would of course make it more likely they would come to The Toastery. Enter Epona. The lovable warm Ponyta who loves giving both kids and small adults rides around the large expanse of the Garden. A careful rider who will never take off without her Human securely tied into the saddle, this Ponyta is more then happy to distract your kids for hours on end and give them the grand tour of the whole garden.

Role- Entertainer/ Fish Inspector

When Seeleys asked for a lake to be dug into the rear of the garden it was met with concerned looks from people as it added even more money to already expensive task but after seeing how much more it added to the beauty spot of The Toasterys garden it was hard to argue against it. With Seeleys multiple water types living within it and customers allowed to release their own Pokemon inside to swim and exercise, the lake area needed someone overseeing it and Seeley gave this task to his Shiny Magikarp Chips. Often seen patrolling the expanse deep underwater, this little Magikarp never seems to put himself in the lime light and due to its rare appearances on the surface many children don't believe the Shiny exists within the depths of the lake. Stories circulated quickly of the Golden fish of the Deep, with many kids spending hours at a time leaning in hoping to catch a glimpse of Chips' golden scales. Of course to the Pokemon that may swim in there they would easily be able to see the friendly little Magikarp doing his job well.



Name- Voop

Role- Lake Maintenance

On the surface the lake may look like a pristine beauty spot surrounded by plants, herbs and trees however the reality of it is that a team of Pokemon are needed to maintain the area and keep it looking perfect despite repeated onslaughts by customers. One of the main Pokemon in charge of the lake is Voop the Wooper whose expertise in shaping mud enable the banks of the lake to be kept solid and shaped perfectly, adding to them and removing parts of them when necessary. Most of this work is done very early morning meaning of an afternoon customers can often see the happy little Voop sunning himself on the lake by floating on his back and swishing his little tail back and forth propelling himself this way and that.

Role- Lake Janitor

Deep down on the bottom of the lake one of the most important jobs of all is being done. Out of sight of any of the customers a little Mareanie scuttles along the bottom picking up and destroying various pieces of litter and aggressive plant life that may otherwise destroy the eco system of the lake of surrounding vegetation. Always happy to give a wave to any swimming Pokemon that may swim deep enough the little Water type scuttles along dutifully doing his job before emerging out around dinner time and walking through to the main Toastery for something to eat. The little Mareanie often finds several food items already paid for in the Toastery by eco friendly customers who never get to see the little Mareanie but wish to reward it for its hard work.

The Delivery Team



Name- Tyke
Gender- Male
Role- Deliveryman

Regardless of where you are on Lorea island, whether deep in the desert or on a boat in the middle of Lake Laleh, if you order food from Seeleys it will be with you piping hot via the bag of the famous Deliveryman Tyke. Son of Ryu the Delivery Dragon, the small Dratini trains daily to be as good as his father. The sight of Tyke dashing through the streets, forging streams and lakes with his waterproof bag and early delivery times, people are in no doubt that one day this young Dratini will take over his Fathers business. The young Dragon hopes to evolve soon so that he may expand his delivery radius to other islands and further spread the local fame he has already achieved.

Role- Deliverywoman 

There are very few in the world that can rival Sawyers flat line speed, the Dodrio is known for being Seeleys favoured method of transportation and is quite regularly seen with the large redhead on her back heading from town to town, whether it be for exploring, scavenging or to pick up a delivery but from time to time when the owner doesn't need help getting around Sawyer enjoys local deliveries to nearby towns and cities where she can use roads and get food to anyone on Lorea Island in record time. Although the three heads may argue with eachother at the best way to get there, they work it out in the end and her saddle bags can easily hold a veritable banquet safe and easily.

With demand growing for people off island to experience the food The Toastery had become famous for, Seeley had decided to employ one of his faster flyers in an attempt to keep up with demand. Despite a customer service deficiency Peregrine the Swellow seemed the perfect choice. With the food having to be strapped to its strong back tightly the Swellow can often be seen pulling aerial manoeuvres in the evenings sky, keeping itself entertained as it reaches incredible speeds in delivering to other islands. At first Seeley had expanded the delivery time to other islands to two hours but to his surprise his Swellow was delivering them perfectly easily within the hour mark so kept the delivery promise to one hour. Unwilling to be petted or receive praise from customers, this stubborn bird is purely job focused and once delivery and payment has been made is soon back off into the sky for the return trip.

With the ports of Shula becoming more and more popular with growing trade and an influx of trainers and workers from other regions, the queues for boats coming in and out of the small harbours often trailed back for miles. With this in mind Seeley sought out access to this growing market of people often hundreds at a time who perhaps hadn't eaten a good meal in weeks and thus his Ocean Delivery Lapras was put into good effect. With a cheerful smile the Lapras was often loaded up with Pizzas, Burgers, Fries and cold drinks and her Siren like call beckoned sailors towards her much like an ice cream truck on land. Despite the niche market the Ocean Delivery Lapras is actually one of the top earning unique selling points of The Toastery establishment.
