POSITIVE TRAITS: • Selfless - Of course what parent isn't selfless to some degree? Though in Jean's case it does mean that she tends to put the happiness of her children amongst other things before herself, though is is trying to not interfere so much now they are older. • Accepting / Open minded - Knowing just how different people as a whole can be, unless others give her a reason to be judgemental Jean would rather accept others as they are regardless of (to some degree) where life may take them. • Hardworking - Jean has never been one to shy away from hard work no matter how difficult it may be or the odds being against her she will do her best with anything. • Discreet - It's not to say that Jean will be ignorant of everything merely she won't judge anyone for anything. • Humble - Jean has never been one to big herself up, quite the opposite for it is just not in her nature to take credit for something that may not be deserved even if on occasion it is. | NEGATIVE TRAITS: • Jaded - Having once thought in her younger years that people could not be as cruel or unkind to others as what some said, it were as a result of her time within the clutches of Team Rocket, how wrong she had come to be. • Distrustful - For who would be fully able to trust people so easily after being treated so badly by her own kind? It will take a considerable amount of time for Jean to feel as if she could allow herself to trust and even then there would still be a certain amount of caution involved. • Anxious - What parent doesn't get anxious on occasion? More so with 9 gijinka children and all Jean wants is the best for them all especially in such a tough world? • Fiery - While Jean is certainly a pleasent enough person it is true, but do her wrong and facing an angered Ursaring would be preferable than Jean • Tactless / Blunt - it's not always something that Jean means to do, but on occasion if anyone is taking their time / avoiding getting to the point or generally using a lentghy explanation rather than a short version Jean will get a little to the point should such be needed. |
LIKES • Her Children - Naturally, Jean adores all her children and would do pretty much anything for them. • Baking - It may not be much but given it has been something Jean has come to enjoy creating a variety of sweet goodies during her free time • Playing the / Listening to Piano music - Though it has indeed been a long time Jean herself has played such an instrument she does enjoy listening to such music when she has the time to. • Sitting outside watching the stars at night • Savoury snack - while Jean may enjoy baking her preferred snack is anything savoury that she may end up having a craving for. | DISLIKES: • Team Rocket - given the treatment of herself and her children at their hands Jean holds no love for them • Team Diamond - enough said • Hospitals - Given how much she were prodded and poked at during the space of a few years, Jean is not exactly keen on such places and would rather avoid them altogether. APPEARANCE
Jean is not the tallest of women but such a thing has never been too much of an issue for her, for such means she can fade into a crowd and not be picked out too easily. She has a slim / slight figure that would almost make her appear more fragile than she actually is, but don't be deceived for she is stronger than appearances may dictate. To look at her anyone would be forgiven for thinking that Jean had grown up anywhere than her true birthplace given her otherwise pale complexion.
Jean's brown hair reaches down to her waist when left loose - which is often when at home - whenever she is doing any sort of work it is put into two braids which tend to reach a little above the halfway point of her back, her eyes are a matching brown colour that while are full of life do hide many terrible things behind them. Jean's skin is paler than what many might expect though that is due to having spent a fair amount of time inside her complexion has improved and there is some colour to it.
Jean's preferred clothing are pale and almost neutral colours - light pinks, beige and white - and she tends to prefer wearing long skirts, shirt like tops and knee high boots for most of the year and only when the weather gets too cold will she wear thicker trousers and jumpers.
HISTORY
Surprisingly Jean was born and raised within Shula itself in the desert city that is Oasis city, the youngest child of parents Chloe and Karl Kaitos who worked in the agriculture business - of which they had worked their way upwards and had done quite well for themselves. Though they were by no means the owners or CEO's of the company they were well trusted enough to manage the day today running of things and as such were well paid and could afford a relatively good lifestyle.
Their son - James - was born two years before Jean was, even from a young age the boy proved to be quite smart though a bit of a troublemaker. Though for the most part such were simply put down to his 'playful' attitude; what they would not know was where such things would ultimately take the boy - especially Jean, for she looked up to her brother and it seemed as if he could do no wrong.
What the family would never know until it were too late would be that James was heavily involved with Team Rocket and their budding gijinka program, whether it were because they did not want to see such or had convinced themselves he were doing something different it were hard to tell - whatever the case one day a mission had gone wrong and it would have led to the death of her brother. What Jean would not have known until along time after were that she had in essence been sold out by her beloved brother to be used as a potential test subject for a surrogate mother for gijinka children - threats were made towards her and her parents in order to ensure she complied and were taken to Polade city in order to have tests done to her.
As such Jean were at an all time low when this happened and with all the trauma that it would entail - of which she would sooner forget than remember - though surprisingly there would be a light at the end of the tunnel and now in the way that Jean would have expected. For after many harrowing tests and failed pregnancies the first of many successful pregnancies would occur and while she had otherwise become numb to the idea of bearing children when she would hear the heartbeats of her first trio of children she would feel a surprising surge of love for them - and all those that followed - little knowing that such would result in the successful births of her unique gijinka children.
Though what would crush her further would be the tests and experiments that they all would be put through after they were born and had grown enough, it would be a horrible knowledge and experience to bear more so when she would be required to go through a further three pregnancies and births. Only when the youngest were born would plans be put into action for their escape and fleeing to somewhere safer for them all to grow up as 'normal' a life as were indeed possible - not that such would be easy however thankfully there would be those who would be willing to help and a safe place for the family to call their own and be accepted.
Thankfully many years had passed since such events had occurred even if the memories of such would linger in various forms - only recently and after having seen many of her children having ventured out on their own and in some manner found their own places in the world would Jean consider that maybe it were time for herself to do so also rather than hiding away.
Not to say that she wouldn't stop being there for her children; more that she needed something new to focus on, for the region was large and waiting for her to take gradual steps out into it.
