Milarnie "Arnie" Colt Me, spoilt? I just know what I want....
As Mila's eyes met the grass type from before, she looked it over and then back a little to the trainer which she assumed should have been controlling it. Not only was she not even looking in mila's direction, there seemed to be no reaction from her at all at the gijinka arriving which the girl took to be sheer rudeness. If she was going to ignore her, mila was going to ignore her right back.
The green thing was talking again by now and she was happy to focus there, looking it over before she let out a small breath. "I mean i'd love to but i think you are a little runty for my Princess to handle, so, lets try something else" she found herself replying, looking over her pokeballs for a moment before she grinned and pulled one away.
She was hoping the pokemon might have a stronger freind, or the trainer had something closer to Princess's level for training but for now, she had pokemon who needed work. With that, mila sent out Hatti and the kitten wasted not a second, having been listening the entire time. The grey pokemon was quick to flick her tail in to the air, seeming to send mist rolling off her fur as she moved and quickly flooding the area in white before there was a curl in the mist, snow blasting from the hidden pokemon and over towards the green one. | 160/160 - Level stats HATTI USED MIST 0/5 HATTI USED POWDER SNOW - 40BP + 16 (STAB) + 10 (SE) = 66P <11 TO FRZ |

Miro squinted at the cat that was sent to face him before a smirk formed on his face. Mila claimed that she wasn’t going to send her best hitter at him because he was a runt, and yet she still sent an Ice-Type. Sending a rather mixed message there, wasn’t she? The cat was fast, he gave her that, but while sending the Mist attack seemed like a great strategy, Miro saw it coming a mile away. This was something similar Selina had him do alongside Thorn’s Magby when he hid in the Smokescreen. Despite being caught a little off guard by just how quick the launch of the attack was, Miro’s strategy of waiting until just the last second to leap out of the way ended up paying off. “Not bad,” Miro whispered to himself, surrounding himself in a green aura before landing right on his toe as plant life began to surround the field more than it usually had. “Let’s see if you can handle this, though.”After setting up the Grassy Terrain, the Snivy’s smirk turned into a glare as he ran at the feline, glaring the cat right in the eye, before letting loose a vine at the very last second, hoping to strike the feline at a close proximity. Not wanting to give an inch, the snake would then use a second vine to pull himself away from the Purrloin. Just because she had the Type advantage, didn’t mean he was going to make this easy for her. “Still think you got this in the bag, lady?” The smug expression on Miro’s face said it all: he was confident, perhaps even a bit overly so, but he wasn’t smug for no reason… even if some Pokemon he knew thought so. It was time to see how far his over abundance in confidence could take him. Her attack missed, not something Hatti was exactly happy about but also something she did sort of expect in these sorts of battles seeing as she had to aim through her mist which was as hard work for her as it was for the other pokemon. All the same, this one spoke, and she thought for a moment before grinning and making her choice. Waiting until she heard the voice again, she shifted in the grey around her before she felt the pain across her back.
A mewl slipped from her, a small sound which grew in to a weak growl before she twisted around. Now she knew exactly where to aim, it was right there after all since it had just struck her so she didnt need to focus quite so much. Slicing her tail through the air again, she felt the small beads of water she could just sense become colder, harder, and then blast forwards from her as the mist swirled around her form once again as she felt a rush of something from under her paws. | 88/160 - Level stats VINE WHIP HIT HATTI USED GROWL MIST IS ACTIVE 1/5 HATTI USED POWDER SNOW - 40BP + 16 (STAB) + 10 (SE) = 66P <11 TO FRZ GT HEALS 1/16 (10) |

While Miro had seen the cat’s initial plan coming, his overconfidence blinded him to the second. While the first strike seemed like a good thing, and maybe it was, his constant noise making made avoiding the second round of attacks impossible. He felt his strength lower a little, though nothing Growth couldn’t fix, and more dangerously, the super effective Ice Type attack made its mark right on the Grass-Type’s chest. He could feel the cold spreading around him as he clenched his eyes shut at the pain so intense that he almost felt numb in certain parts of it at first. Scoffing at his clear mistake, just as he thought his limbs were far too stiff to move, Miro balled his hand into a fist before swinging his tail around and shaking what was left of the ice away. The steely expression on his face made one thing clear: he now saw Hatti as a bit more formidable now. He wouldn’t make that same mistake again. Rushing back into the anonymity of the mist, Miro allowed his body to glow as he gathered energy to undo the growl from earlier. He then circled the area where the cat was, trying to keep his ears open, knowing full well that he would have to bridge the gap again. Or did he? Trusting his senses, and launching his vines at where he believed the cat was, Miro would attempt to wrap his vines around the Purrloin, and catch her in a Wrap attack. If successful, his confidence would return: even if it was easier to tell where he was, there would be no denying where she was either. They’d both be losing, and gaining, an advantage. Well this was going to be annoying as all hell, something Hatti made quite clear with a small hiss as she watched her growl go ahead and land but seeing as the stupid green thing seemed to be able to hype itself up and make her move all but useless, it did nothing! Reminding herself in the next moment that this was not true, and as much as it was healing itself, it was healing her too and that really was a screw up, the feline forced her mind to relax.
Using this moment, she was able to dodge the wrap which came for her. In the next moment, she turned herself around, trying to disappear back in to the mist with a low growl she hoped would bounce around and seemingly come from all around the grass type. In the next second, she once more lashed her tail out, trying to send another burst of snow and cold towards the little green thing and maybe even turn it blue. | 98/160 - Level stats WARP MISSED HATTI USED GROWL MIST IS ACTIVE 2/5 HATTI USED POWDER SNOW - 40BP + 16 (STAB) + 10 (SE) = 66P <11 TO FRZ GT HEALS 1/16 (10) |

Miro scoffed as his Wrap attack failed. He got too cocky, and the attempt was sloppy. For his arrogance, he was rewarded with another Growl, which he once again just undid with Growth, and was hit with another Powder Snow, letting out a grunt in pain. The snake was still very much standing, but unlike last time, he flicked his tail around quicker, which prevented him from freezing too much. Still, it was clear that the Purrloin was tough. He couldn’t let his guard down again! He rushed in the direction of where the Growl came from and, trying to keep an eye out for a shade, launched his two vines at the cat again, hoping to entrap her in a Wrap attack. Meanwhile, Domino, despite herself, was on the edge of her seat, and even Amber, begrudgingly, stuck her nose out of the back pack to see how well the snake was doing. Clearly he was struggling now, but it wasn’t like she was super invested in Miro’s victory. Maybe Selina would’ve been, but Miro insisted that he could handle this battle without her… …She’d never battled herself, and even she knew they were probably going to lose this. Without a human to guide them, how would it end otherwise? Most of her Pokemon weren’t very experienced in battle, let alone experienced enough to battle without the input of a human. Miro might’ve been the exception, but he wasn’t the only experienced battler in the world. It was the growl, it was giving her away. This thought only came to the feline pokemon as she felt something wrap around her paws and hold her in place, the ice type struggling and pulling at the feeling until it came loose and she was at least able to move but her limbs were still tied and she could feel whatever that was pulling was still there and pulling tight.
All the same, her plan was working and she could see the green thing slowing from her hits. She offered it another growl, trying to keep it weak and then sniggered to herself as she watched him fight. They were both working on tried and true, it seemed, so she figured it made sense to keep at what she was doing. Throwing another blast of snow, she tried to move back in to the mist but it was harder now, much harder. | 85/160 - Level stats WRAP HIT (-8hp for 5 turns) HATTI USED GROWL MIST IS ACTIVE 3/5 HATTI USED POWDER SNOW - 40BP + 16 (STAB) + 10 (SE) = 66P <11 TO FRZ GT HEALS 1/16 (10) |

Miro heard another Growl, and this time he used it to avoid the oncoming Ice-Type attack. The Grass-Type leapt, just as the frozen air was sent in his direction, a smirk forming on his face. It was time to finish this. The Grass-Type decided to take a different approach. Following his vines, he looked the cat in the eye, or at least tried to, with a Leer attack, though he was surprised to see that it wouldn’t affect the cat even if he did find her. Was this a result of her ability? Or perhaps… Miro wouldn’t lose focus now. He needed to finish this quickly. After the failed Leer attack, the snake felt a surge in power from the incessant damage he had taken from the Ice-Type attack, balling his hands into fists as he raised one of his vines up. If this attack hit, mixed with his Overgrow ability, Hatti’s Growl was pointless. She would faint in this next shot… provided he didn’t screw up like before. This was his last chance to win. Raising his vine in the air, he would slam the vine down onto the cat with a crack of a whip, letting loose a loud echo regardless of the outcome. To his Trainer behind him, it was simply a gust of wind. This wasn’t the worst, though: she’d seen his Overgrow ability in full swing before. Now, with the Grassy Terrain healing some of his energy, he just needed to wait to see if his attack worked. Name: Miro Level: 15 (0/225) Gender: Male Ability: Overgrow Item: None Moves: Tackle, Leer, Grassy Terrain, Vine Whip, Wrap, Growth HP: 45/150 (+2 SpAtk) (-1 Atk) Summary: Miro's Grassy Terrain (3/5) Growl Hit! Still her growl was giving her away but Hatti was not about to waste her chance to use a move to weaken the other pokemon, all the same, the vines around her torse pulled and tightened as she moved and she had to stop and flex her body out to try and free herself enough to breath in order to be able to focus.
This was a good move, it lingered like her mist did and she could respect that it was going to keep hurting her until the vines grew too cold to cling to her fur and fell away but they were fighting well. It was a smart tactic, however, she was not about to hand over a win for smarts. Not to mention, as the grass type came for her again and the faint glow of the ability she knew so many of the kid starters began to shine, she smirked.
Lowering down to the ground and rolling through the mist, she used the last of the speed she had and dodged out of the way of the vine which came slamming down to where she had been moments before. This was going to be it, her last push, because as much as the ground was making her feel better, these wrapping vines were taking that away and then some. With quite a bit of effort, she blasted off another shot of snow and hoped this would work. | 65/160 - Level stats WRAP IS IN EFFECT (-20 hp for 2/5 turns) VINE WHIP MISSED HATTI USED GROWL MIST IS ACTIVE 4/5 HATTI USED POWDER SNOW - 40BP + 16 (STAB) + 10 (SE) = 66P <11 TO FRZ GT HEALS 1/16 (10) |

The snake felt his smirk creep up, but just as he thought his success was his, he felt an intense cold crawl up his vine. Miro let out a hiss as he was once again overcome by the Ice-Type attack, and after giving it his all, the snake couldn’t fight off the frost that was covering the Grass-Type. In a flash, the ice that surrounded the snake shattered, and Miro fell over to his side blacked out. Selina would’ve been proud of Miro’s bravery in this battle, but the snake had boasted and lost all the same. Amber stared at the Snivy unimpressed before sighing and shaking her head. “What happened to ‘I’m gonna defeat her entire team’?” The Vulpix mocked in an annoyed tone as Miro groaned in response. Amber grumbled. “This was such a dumb idea… look, you lost, okay? Let’s just call it quits. There’s no way we’re going to win without Selina’s-!” Just as Amber was trying to convince the snake who was just starting to sit up that it was probably a good idea to quit the battle, a Pokeball in Selina’s backpack popped open, a stream of light forming into another short form. The Pokemon that appeared was a tusk faced lizard of sorts, the light fading away and revealing an Axew, one who had an eager grin on his face. “Battle time!” he shouted excitedly before hopping up and down. “I can take anyone on, Kiba! Let me at ‘em!” “...Lovely…” Tusk was the Axew. He was still rather young, but he was so eager to fight that he was already swiping his claws furiously. The claws couldn’t reach past his nose, so it was clear that battling would be quite the hard thing to accomplish for the Dragon-Type. Still, it seemed like he was quite too eager to battle to be talked out of it. So, Amber was simply resigned to trot back to her place on Selina’s lap… though Domino wasn’t eager to give her room. “We don’t need her to win,” Miro groaned out before sitting up completely. “I can… battle just…”“Give it a rest, Miro… I guess it’s Tusk’s turn now…”Name: Tusk Level: 7 (39/49) Gender: Male Ability: Mold Breaker Item: None Moves: Endure, Scratch, Leer, Assurance HP: 70/70 Summary: Tusk is ready to win! It went quiet.
Hatti listened, her ears pricking up in the mist as she looked over the area around her, waiting for the other pokemon to pop out again and come for her again but, it didnt. She slowly raised herself from the ground, guard dropping for a moment before the mist swirled in front of her and she grinned as she took in the fallen pokemon on the floor.
Turning back to her trainer with her tail held high, though her paws a little off balance as she trotted back and all but falling in to Milas legs when she reached her, she mewled softly. It was not a word, not a request per say, but as mila listened to the other pokemon speak, she took the hint.
Returning her ice type and then looking over to the pokemon who had now stepped up, the female moved her eyes over the small pokemon and then sighed. Well, she had just gotten a win and she only had one pokemon really able to handle something like this, so she swapped over hattis pokeball in her hand and sent out her flying type.
Minto hit the ground, shook herself out and then turned to her trainer only to find her pointing to the other pokemon. "Go on then, start the fight!" mila ordered, Minto turning a little confused but growling all the same before trying to hop over the icy ground, trying to keep her talons under her before diving the dragon type with a small peck. | 100/100 - Level stats MINTO USED GROWL MINTO USED PECK - 40P + 10 (STAB) = 50P |

Once the bird was finally unleashed onto the field, Tusk glared, determined to take this foe of his down. Whether he would be successful was… debatable. In fact, the only one who seemed to have any amount of faith in the little dragon was little Domino, who was sitting straight and proud while trying to kick Amber, who was glaring at her, off Selina’s lap. Honestly, the coordination for her to both be able to sit so eagerly, pay attention to her friend, and try to kick her other friend off her perch was almost impressive. Meanwhile, the Taillow dove at the little dragon after the Growl hit him, causing the Axew to shudder before shaking his head a little. Little Tusk rolled forward away from the attack, narrowly avoiding it before looking up at the bird. A glint in the dragon’s eye gleamed as he leered at the bird as intensely as he could before he started running forward at the bird. Trying to keep an eye on the flying pattern, though he struggled a bit with this since he wasn’t particularly well trained yet, the Axew held his claws out, waiting for the bird to dive down again, or for her to at least be flying low enough. He would then attempt to slap the bird across the face twice while his claws had a dark aura over them. Ok, so that didnt go the way she wanted. Mila missed the fog and mist from the first fight, it allowed her pokemon to hide those moments they failed under a gaze no one else could see, though she was proud to note her pokemon was able to lift a wing and cover her face, hiding from the leer which came from them only to roll backwards as the attack of the dragon hit in to her.
Whining a soft noise of anger, mila wanted to give some command like "win the darn fight" or something but she was not good at this. She didnt know all the moves of all her pokemon, or what they did, so she kept quiet and watched the shiny lift her head, growl again, and try to use the fact the dragon had been forced to get so close to try and peck at its hands. | 45/100 - Level stats LEER MISSED ASSURANCE HIT MINTO USED GROWL MINTO USED PECK - 40P + 10 (STAB) = 50P |

“Emo emon!” Domino called out in a cheer for Tusk when Assurance made its mark, and even Tusk himself had to blink a couple times to realize how well he did before bouncing around. The commotion brought Miro back from being unconscious as he sat up and looked over at the Taillow. Domino and Tusk were so caught up in celebrating that Miro had to snap the Axew out of it. “Tusk!” He called out. “Focus! She’s attacking again!”Tusk spun around, and managed to duck down and cover his ears before the growl could happen, just like Minto blocked off the Leer attack. Unfortunately, he also closed his eyes, which made avoiding the Peck that came next impossible. Tusk let out a yelp, causing him to roll backward, and prompting Domino to place her paws over her mouth. Tusk winced, winking an eye shut before leering at the other Pokemon again. He then started running around as best as he could, readying another Assurance attack when the bird was within reach. Once he was given the opportunity, he would attempt to slap the Taillow again, furiously. They needed to do soemthing different, they needed to be better than they were being. Lifting up her head, Minto was able to glare down the leer which came for her this time and she shivered, heck she all but whimpered but she closed her beak and forced the noise to go away and not reveal how scared she was!
Turning her head, she wasn't exactly able to fly up and away from the attack as the pokemon came for her. But she was able to skitter past it, hopping left and right with enough speed to pass the dragon and then turning with one wing out so she all but span around and then rushed in to the back of the male in the hope she could land another attack.
It was not pretty, it did not look good but it was a tactic. | 45/100 - -1 DEF LEER HIT ASSURANCE MISSED MINTO USED GROWL MINTO USED PECK - 40P + 10 (STAB) = 50P |

Important Info
Season
Good news, Autumn is here! The sticky heat of the summer is finally gone, but the bad news? Its gotten very cold very fast. Berrys have fallen early from their perches, fruit and food is getting caught in snap frosts and icy mornings and this is leading to very cold mornings, pokemon getting desprate quickly and dark and chilly evenings
Next season change ~ May 20th
Swarming Pokemon!
Encouraged Characters
Currently, our character numbers are pretty even, so aside from us gently encouraging more civilians and breeders...go nuts!
Numbers of Gijinka on site have dropped, too, so they're open to be applied for at the moment- though, if you're interested, go check out the adoptable threads for many wanted ones! They could always use players! ;-)
