APPEARANCE
Leo is of a fairly slim build, with lightly defined abs, standing at around five foot eleven and weighing around eleven stone. He has medium length black hair slightly ruffled and specifically placed so as not to cover his crystal blue eyes which he has been told on numerous occasions are his "best feature". Style wise, Leo likes to look fashionable but comfort is also an absolute must for him. You can usually find him in a fitted tee and a pair of ripped black skinny jeans, paired with his black boots the zip up at the side for ease of use. Being the musician that he is, you will almost always see him with a pair of headphones around his neck.
HISTORY
Leo Xander Lockward, born some nineteen years ago to parents Eva and Xander Lockward (that's right, they plonked his father's name in there for good measure!) in the quiet harbour town of Seabreeze Village.
It became apparent very quickly to Eva and Xander that their son was going to be interested in music. Eva had a small music box that she would play when putting Leo to bed at a young age. As he started to grow, he began to hum the tune along with the music, and eventually without the music. As he grew older still, that piece of music became a sort of safety net for Leo. Whenever he felt uneasy, or sad, he would hum the tune to himself.By the age of 8 Leo began writing little songs and tunes that he would perform in front of his parents.
When it came to school, Leo was fairly academic. Not the top of his class by any means, but that did not hinder him. His main focus had naturally become music, and he would often lose himself in thought trying to think of new lyrics and tunes, which he would eventually go on to perform at the school talent shows which always went down a hit.
On the approach to Leo's 10th birthday, the discussion came with Leo and his parents as to whether or not he would begin his pokemon journey like some of the other kids his age were about to do. Leo however at this point had never really been to interested in the thought of leaving the home he knew. He enjoyed being with his parents, he enjoyed (for the most part) going to school and seeing his friends. He had always been a very homely child and he certainly wasn't prepared to leave it all behind.
At around the age of 13, a new student started in Leo's class - Mika. Leo very quickly became confused as he found himself extremely interested in Mika, whereas his other classmates all seemed to be taking an interest in the girls. He began to question whether something was wrong with him. He began writing to try get to grips with what was swimming inside his head, however one of the bullies in his class grabbed his note book and read out the words to his class. As with all children that age, they of course then began to pick on Leo.
Leo raised the issue with his mother, Eva, who explained that sometimes boys have feelings for boys, and girls have feelings for girls, there was nothing wrong with it. Whilst it helped Leo understand that perhaps there wasn't anything wrong with him, it of course did not stop the other children in his class from teasing him, leaving him feeling very isolated and withdrawn.
At the age of 16, Leo had come to terms with his sexuality, and he was proud to be gay, regardless of what others felt. However at this age, his peers had of course been educated a bit further in such matters. He had began to make a few friends, those who did not judge him for the fact that he liked other boys.
After leaving school, Leo continued honing his musical craft for a couple of years, taking part in various open mic nights to perform his original songs to different audiences. He had also attempted the whole dating thing, however to date, he has had no luck in that department.
One summer evening, an 18 year old Leo had been asked to perform at a local cafe for a fundraiser. He was always one to help out with whatever he could and at the end of the event, helped the owners clearing everything away. Upon moving a table he caught glimpse of an object in the hedge. Curiously he approached and searched the hedge and to his shock found a pokemon egg, seemingly abandoned. He looked around to see if anybody was searching for something that they may have lost, however it was just him and the cafe owners around. He couldn't well leave the egg there, who knows what could have come to take it away! He packed the egg into his bag and made his way home, where he cared for the egg until one evening whilst he was laying awake in bed, he heard a cracking sound.
A short while later, a small red fox like pokemon emerged from the broken egg shell. To Leo's amazement, it was a Vulpix a small cute little girl. Well, cute until she let out a small burst of fire and nearly torched his lyric book, but that was by the by. He felt nothing but pride knowing that he had kept her safe from the elements and wild pokemon, which allowed her safe entry into this world.
Following Vulpix's arrival, Leo began taking her to the gigs that he was booking himself for, however these became few and far between as he began to spend more time playing with Vulpix, taking her to the local park for a runaround and generally relaxing at home with Vulpix snuggled up watching the TV.
At the age of 19, he decided that he needed to do something more; to become acquainted with the world and what it had to teach him. Whilst being older than most starter trainers, he decided that this was his new goal. To become a pokemon trainer and see what the world had to offer, bringing us to the Leo we know today.
