PERSONALITY

POSITIVE TRAITS: • Passionate - Annie is passionate about being a dedicated trainer to her pokemon. She loves to dress up her pokemon and loves to compete in Contests to show off her pretty pokemon. She loves to take care of pokemon in general. • Idealistic - Annie likes to believe the best in people and the world in general. She can come off as naive at times, but really she just thinks that everyone has a bit of good in them, no matter what. • Playful - Annie loves to play with her pokemon and other people; she’s a bit childish in that way, but it can come off as endearing when she comes up and challenges one to a board game battle. • Patient - Annie is very patient when it comes to training her pokemon and just waiting for things in general. • Friendly - Annie is a very friendly sort, always offering to lend a hand to anyone struggling or looking like they need help.

NEGATIVE TRAITS: • Disorganized - Annie is a very disorganized person. You would think living with Kari and in her pokemon lab would have helped her get organized, but honestly it made it worse. • Sickly - Annie has been a very sickly kid, getting colds and ear infections all the time, pretty much catching any illness that passed through the jungle or Kari’s lab. She hasn’t really grown out of it yet, and Kari is starting to think she never will. • Quiet - Annie is a pretty quiet gijinka, even when playing with her pokemon or other kids, she is the quietest of the bunch and has a very soft, sweet voice that one will strain to hear. • Fearful - Annie is afraid of a lot of things, like bug and dark-type pokemon, and the sound of thunder - though she loves rain - and is generally a pretty fearful person. She strives to overcome her fears, though, and leans on her family to help her. • Clumsy - Annie is pretty clumsy, tripping over things all the time, mostly because she’s not paying enough attention to her surroundings.

LIKES • Rain/Mud - She misses the muddy forest floor of her first home in Stillwood Jungle, and she loves to dance in the rain. • Her family - She loves her family, especially her twin sister, Lily. Lily took care of her all the time when they were younger when Annie was sick, and they have a close bond. • Pokemon Contests/Dressing up Pokemon - She loves to watch pokemon contests, and dress up her own pokemon as if they were in one. • Taking Care of Pokemon - She loves to take care of pokemon, especially baby pokemon. It’s one of her favorite things to do. • Music - Annie loves music, pretty much all kinds except for rap or scream-o music.

DISLIKES: • Thunder/Lightning - Annie is afraid of thunder and lightning, because it reminds her of how small she is in the grand scheme of things. • Team Rocket/Team Diamond Crystal - Annie dislikes the two teams that hate gijinka, for obvious reasons. She likes to think all people have a bit of good inside them, but these two teams bury their goodness very deep indeed. • People who abandon or are mean to their pokemon - obvious reasons are obvious. • Bug and Dark type pokemon - she is afraid of what these pokemon can do to her and her own pokemon, as she is a psychic-fairy gijinka. • Cold weather - she grew up in a jungle and is used to warmer climates.

APPEARANCE

Annie’s appearance is closer to her father than her mother, having the blue hair and red sails atop her head of a shiny Ralts. She has golden eyes with catlike white pupils, and her stature is pretty short, being only four feet, ten inches tall. She has short arms for her body, reaching only to her midriff, and only has four fingers, instead of the normal five

She is fairly weak, with thin arms and legs, having a sickly disposition due to her shiny appearance. Her skin is very pale, almost to the point of translucency. You can see her veins quite easily on her arms and legs, though she tries to cover them up with long shirts and pants most of the time. She gets cold really easily, so it’s not unusual for her to be seen in long sweaters and comfy sweatpants.

She wears comfy sweaters and sweatpants in a very casual way. She is a little shy so she often hides inside her sweater collar. She typically lets her hair just go crazy, flying every which way and being generally a mess.

HISTORY

Annie was born to a shiny Gallade named Phantom and a Ranger by the name of Nix Night, in the Stillwood Jungle. She had a twin sister named Liliana, though everyone called her ‘Lily’. Annie was born as quite sickly, often catching whatever new disease was floating through the jungle at the time, and spent a lot of her childhood in bed or weakly playing with Lily.

Professor Maple took the time to teach Annie and her sister, and when their little brother Oakley came along, it was clear that she loved them all as her own. The Kaitos family were also really close to the Night family, particularly Jean and Logan, who often came over to help teach the girls (and Nix) about being gijinka.

Logan in particular taught the girls how to use their budding psychic powers to utilize telekinesis. Annie had a lot of time to work on it, being bedridden a lot of the time, and just sick in her room a lot. She spent a lot of that time reading books and working on schoolwork as well. She's pretty smart because of it.

But things were not always going to be good for them. This became clear when Zakuro, a shulian Ralts owned by their ‘uncle’ Logan Kaitos, had a child with Annie and Lily’s father, Phantom. This was all planned between Nix and Zakuro, but when Lily found out that Phantom had a child with Zakuro, she assumed that Phantom was cheating on their mom, and basically had a huge screaming match with Nix about it. This really upset Annie, especially when their youngest brother, Linden, appeared to have died when he was born, nearly killing Nix in the process.

Annie ended up taking care of Nix during her healing process, and thus grew even closer to her mom. Seeing her vulnerable and ill just made Annie love her mother all the more. She really just wants for her whole family to be happy: Lily, Oakley, and all the Kaitos ‘aunts’ and ‘uncles’ that she has. She basically just wants everyone to live in peace and harmony, though with the signs of Team DC and Team Rocket rising up, she’s not so sure that peace will last like she wants it to.

She was so proud of her mother when Nix ultimately became a Gym Leader, and wants to follow in her footsteps. She has done her best to do as Nix has, and wants to find her own place in Shulian History.
