The little blunette let out a sigh as she stood at the beach located near Seabreeze Village, watching as her breath became visible in the chilled winter air. Perhaps it wasn’t the best idea to head out to a beach of all places in the middle of the winter as she had but really there wasn’t much else to do for the day. Hands shoved in her pockets the little fifteen year old shoved her face down deeper into the light blue scarf she wore, muffling as much of her face as she could from the cold. The long beige code she wore helped certainly but she still wished she wasn’t out here. “Can I have my drink now please?” She asked, molten gold eyes drawing toward the Riolu who currently held onto aforementioned drink. The multicoloured fighting psychic type looked at her, head tilting as he let out a contemplative hum. “I du-knoowwww” he drawled the words out, his tone playful and yet teasing as he spoke, shaking his head and holding the drink tighter, zipping it away as the girl’s hand shot from her pockets to grab the drink, the duel type letting out a delighted cackle as he moved away and the girl retracted her hand, a pout and annoyance clear on her features. “It’s five in the morning don’t be a jerk.” She pouted at the Pokemon who, for all any outsider might determine was being a bully. He wasn’t of course but anyone stumbling upon the scene might not recognize this fact and if that were the case, all the more fun for a secondary onlooker who DID know what was going on. [attr="class","woo3"] 11/13/2024|Seabreeze Beach|Music[break][break] Deciding to drop by the beach with Tarja for some R&R, Victoria sat out a towel and just laid on it with her little pupper next to her. Her motorcycle was parked at the bike rack of the beach as she settled in to just relax for a bit. Even in the winter she loved the place.. she had her red fur coat on again, and she was playing around with a meowth dancer she had gotten, playing with Tarja with it. The little puppy was batting it around playfully with a fierce fire.[break][break] All in all it was a relaxing day at the beach despite the weather. She saw another person nearby, and decided to wait to see if the girl would notice her first. However, soon Tarja ran over and barked at the girl, causing Victoria to flinch. Shoot.. why had Tarja done that?! "Tarja! I said don't do something.." and the little yorkie just looked back confused as she heard do something, and suddenly a little Howl was let off. What Victoria and her group would come across, at least for the girl they would run into visually speaking was a rather small girl who looked to be a child, prepubescent in appearance though she certainly was not. She had long dark blue hair currently parted down the middle and tied in two pigtails at the sides of her head, thin red crystal earrings dangling form her ears. The girl wore a long pat knee length beige coat with a flap collar and buttons over a white dress though that wouldn’t be seen as it was hidden rather well by said coat. Around her neck she wore a light blue scarf tied at the side and her feet were adorned with long thick brown leather boots, What she wore could easily be seen as high quality, amazingly so and yet incredibly functional in it’s make in both design and material. It wouldn’t be known but the girl had a pair of brown insulated leather gloves shoved into the pockets of her coat. The small blue haired girl continued to pout as the duel type canine evaded her every attempt to get her warm drink back, pulling to a stop to roll her eyes. “If you spill that I’m making you get me a new one.” She informed her companion calmly with a shake of her head, the dog in question letting out a cackle again as a mischievous grin fixed itself onto his features. The sound of approaching footsteps in the snow covered sand drew the oddly coloured Fennekin’s attention first, the fox quirking a brow even as his body tensed the neare the Lilipup managed to bring himself. The Pokemon let out a Howl and immediately the fire fox’s eyes narrowed, guard thourally upped and the attention of his Riolu companion’s attention. Carefully the drink was slipped onto the ground beside where he stood, the psychic type stepping forward to get a tad closer: the Howl had o nay seemed to get the two Pokemon on edge it seemed. The human of the trio for her part just blinked, looking between her own Pokemon and the newly appeared dog with the shake of her head. “Guys this place isn’t supposed to have wild Pokemon. It’s probably…. More then likely fine and if it’s not there’s two of you and one of that one.” She offered up reassuringly even as her body tensed ever so slightly. Lilipup were nothing to be afraid of most of the time but who knew with Pokemon: This could very well be a case of Rabies dog or like, someone power levelling their Lilipup but never evolving it for whatever reason. Those particular thoughts left the small teenager’s mind as her gaze found the red fur coat clad woman, looking passed her briefly to spot a towel in the snowy sands behind her. Had… had she been like suntanning in winter or something? That was a bit odd. The apologetic expression on the older woman’s face received a small nod of acknowledgment. “yours I assume? Cute but angry it seems.” A thin eyebrow arched inquisitively as the girl spoke, keeping her voice entirely calm so as not to have her own Pokemon more alarmed. We were relaxing here because we like the cold weather. Nice to meet you child." She'd said, watching the girl and her Pokémon. Tarja of course barked at the other Pokémon, wanting to play for a bit."HI! I'm Tarja.. want to play?" the excited pup asked. Meanwhile Victoria was studying Gwen. She couldn't be above seventeen right? This was extremely concerning for the white haired woman who put out her cigarette, and sighed a bit. If this was a child, she had just shown b ad habits off to her. “Nice to meet you child." at the greeting the woman tilted her head, blinking rapidly at the older woman. Oh uh…. Oh dear they think she’s a kid again- damn this was going to just go the way that it always did wasn’t it? Of course, another person thinks I’m a child again why am I not surprised. curse this tiny body of hers! But well, being annoyed at her height wouldn’t get her anywhere so she needed a minor redirect for the moment. The girl watched as the older woman put out her smoke, having obviously spotted it but not having commented or thought anything of it: It was a nasty habit but well, it wasn’t her life or her choice so if the other woman wanted to have a smoke that was entirely up to her. The girl leaned back on her heels, the heels of her boots digging into the snow drenched sand as she considered the older woman carefully. “Gwen, hi. These two don’t have names yet, we’re working on it though.” She added that last bit, motioning with her free hand toward the Fennekin and Riolu that accompanied her. Tarja spoke and the orange and black furred Fennekin -sprite in inventory- shook his head at the other’s request to play, opening his maw to reply. “Not really sorry.” The fire fox answered bluntly while shifting where he stood and slowly meandering over to his own trainer. It was the Riolu who looked at the other Pokemon more interestedly. “What’d you have in mind?” He asked, interest clearly piqued at the Pokémon’s request. "That's a lovely name you have there.." she tried not to acknowledge one of the girls Pokémon, but smiled."That is a very cute fennekin! What's it's name?" she asked. The woman was trying not to react negatively to seeing the fighting type, telling herself in her head that this girl was not her ex.[break][break] Tarja felt upset at the fox rejecting her, but then noticed the Fighting type offering to play with her. "I'm thinking maybe a bit of tag?" the puppy offered out, trying to figure something out non violent to play. After all.. negative first impressions were bad even if the species in question was one that triggered both her and her trainer. A tiny smile slipped onto the blunettes pale features at the compliment of her name, the girl shaking her head slightly before she spoke. “Thanks. I actually share a name with my mom, but not because she named me that uh-” she paused for a second considering how to word the explanation. “My mom went on this trip right after me and my brothers were born and well… she didn’t come back-couldn’t come back she was stuck. And so my uncle Donny raised us: He didn’t like what my mom named us so he sorta changed all our names and did that whole thing people do with multiples where you name them similar names? Like my brothers are Mason, Jason and Grayson in that order. He couldn’t think of a similar name for me sorta and he like, wanted me to have a connection to my mom so he used her name as mine: though I guess Gwendolyn is similar sooorta to the others? ” another pause as the girl shifted where she stood, taking a sip of her coffee and letting the warm liquid cascade down her throat. “I almost prefer my middle name though cause like, I love the connection to my mom and all and… and she’s back now she’s not dead like everyone thought she was: But it gets a bit confusing sometimes you know? To both be Gwen and all?” Almost awkwardly the girl shifted where she stood, the soles of her brown leather boots digging into the sands below. Had she gone too far? Had she said too much? She probably had and it only now struck her. “Sorry uh, you didn’t need to know any of that that’s my bad.” Her tone turned sheepish at the end as her amber gold eyes flickered between the taller woman and her Pokemon, then over toward her own Pokemon. It didn’t take the girl any effort to spot the avoidance of her Riolu when the woman asked for her Fennekin’s name, though she only let herself tilt her head at the question before answering. “I don’t know yet, haven’t thought of one.” She answered simply. She had of course been considering naming the Pokemon Jason, not after her brother but after a character from a comic book series she liked (Jason Todd/Red Hood from Batman) but hadn’t settled on that yet: heck she could just call him Todd, or Red Hood if she wanted; but for now it was up in the air. The black and orange furred Fennekin raised a brow as his comrade was left more or less alone by the human; why was that? What was going on? Did she not like him or something? He could be insanely annoying and overbearing and mother-hen like and annoy the heck out him but that didn’t mean this lady knew him right? How could she have negative feelings about him already? “Tag huh? Okay sure we can do that it’ll be fun!” The fighting hype grinned eagerly as he looked at Pokemon in question, “You’re it!” He blurted eagerly, wasting no time before darting off and further into the beach.
