PERSONALITY

Done Differently: Nix has two levels to her, she is complex. She on the top level will seem aggressive and sharp, she has had a hard life so it comes with that. She will snap at people sharply, she will answer people back and is more than happy to pull you up if she doesn't like you. She will point out that thing you said was wrong or demand a battle from you to prove a point, shes very forwards in that way. This does turn on another level, she likes to look out for the little guy. .

Has permisson: Due to being bullied as a child, she will always look out for those being bullied or picked on and stand in for them. Weather this is in a fight with fists or a Pokemon battle, if she knows you or not and if she knows she will get hurt or not. She doesn't want anyone to ever have to feel like she did as a child, so she goes out of her way to help those she thinks need helps

To do Nix finds Pokemon more relatable than humans. She thinks of her Pokemon around her as a family, not her Pokemon team. She also uses this as a way of mothering, something she finds she just enjoys naturally. Nix is a caring person underneath all her aggressive side but she feel she has to hide this away for she and those she cares for will get hurt and she cant defend them if they do,

One big chunk: she is the ideal person to be a mother or to find a close friend who she can really care for but she doubts anyone will ever make it past her outer self. Another part of her is the bit around her looks, she knows she is naturally good looking but dislikes it. She has seen girls who are shallow and spend all their time trying to be slim and look nice and she knows she is just built that way, she fears someone seeing her like that and aiming to have her as a prize or worse still, thinking she is "pretty" and so cant do or think anything for herself

APPEARANCE

Nix is a fairly tall girl for her age and she is also slim, well built but slim. She didn't eat very well as a child and so this has effected her looks and growth, she finds it very hard to put on weight from eating food or even doing exercise. Aside this, she had bright green eyes and freckles over her nose. Long red hair that comes down to the small of her back and it always messy, she doesn't like to brush it out and make it look pretty. She likes her looks and it happy with them. She only ever ties her hair up when she is going to battle or fight and this will be done with her mothers purple ribbon, only ever this. She tends to wear the same outfit all the time, a purple t-shirt and black combats. Then she will wear a combat ankle shoes, when she has to. Nix doesn't like shoes, she will avoid wearing them when she can and likes to go barefoot most of the time. Nix knows she is a good looking girl in the normal way, tall, slim and with odd hair. She doesn't like the idea of being good looking because she thinks people will only ever see her as someone pretty or as a prize to try and reach

HISTORY

Nix was born in to a very well known family of breeders, they aimed to get the strongest and best looking of all types of Pokemon and the same pattern followed in the family. They preferred their children to be born or married to those with blonde hair or black hair, blue eyes only when possible. Of course there were some who bucked this rule but those some generally found themselves disowned and thrown from the family estate. However nix's parents had chosen to move out of shula when they were a young couple and make a home in kanto so they were already being watched by the family, not the best of starters. So nix was an issue, she was born to the ideal set of parents, the right looks and the want to create beautiful Pokemon. They had even had a son already who looked ideal and was already trying to learn which Pokemon would breed with which, Lucas was 2 when his sister was born. And it went badly.

Nix had red hair, this was clear from the tiny tuft on her head when she was born and the later realization that those were green eyes and those weren't going away made things worse. Yet she was their child and they would raise her as theirs, for all of about 6 months. Nix started to show a dislike of Pokemon breeding and loved to watch the male battle over their females, she enjoyed watching different types do well against others and it was clear this girl was going to be a trainer if anything. So she was shut down. She was kept in her room with her nanny for company and to learn from, a cold nanny who was of the mind children were to be seen and not heard. So this was how nix was raised. She reached the age of 6 and then the nanny was dismissed for not having done her job, nix still enjoying Pokemon battles and now had been found to be sneaking out of her attic room down a drain pipe to go and watch them. The girl was confined even more to her room, no company and merely a meal and book a day passed under her door for something to do. Not that anyone thought to bar that window shut....

Nix started to spend more and more time outside the house, she would wake up and eat the scraps she was given and then climb down the drain pipe and head out in to the forest surrounding the home. There were many Pokemon there, some she knew and some she didn't but time passed and they got to know the girl as little more than feral like them and so nix bonded with the forest Pokemon. The water types taught her to swim, grass types taught her the safe berries to eat and plants to try, fire types kept her warm at night when she didn't want to go home. But above all, nix bonded with an odd Pokemon. There was a vaperon that was a funny color, nix had found her being picked on by a group of houndour and with the girls heckling, the female fought the Pokemon back. Nix and this Pokemon, she later found out was named aqua, became good friends. The Pokemon even introduced her to her mate, Frost, a glaceon that had been released by his trainer. They taught the girl that some Pokemon were born an odd color and this was called a shiny, nix found this fascinating and now aims to find one of these Pokemon and befriend it for her team. Though things went well for the group, nix would sneak out each day and as she grew older, she stopped going back to the house. The family never opened the door to check on her so she started to spend all her time in the forest, and at age 10, she just didn't go back. However fate is not kind.

Keeping the mind of a child, Aqua soon took in nix as a pup of sorts. She taught her to hunt and to care for herself but the time came when her own litter was due, and things went badly. Nix knew she had no choice. Aged 16, she took the female and sneaked in to the breeding huts of her old home and hide the girl in one of the back stalls, all Pokemon in the center were those of the family of trainer who asked to breed their Pokemon so aqua was cared for by the staff until she delivered 3 pups. however, aqua did not survive. And it got worse, one of the litter was small and dark in fur color. A runt. Like nix had been. She heard the staff state that the pup needed to be drowned and she was heartbroken, how could they do that to such a little Pokemon. She took her chance as soon as night fell and dropped down form her hiding place and stole the litter away, she fled back to Frost and told him of the event. The poor male was heartbroken as the girl was but he now had his children to keep him strong, nix placed the Pokemon beside him but even she saw the frown on his face. The runt again. he told her that runts didn't like without a lot of help from their mother, and this one didn't have one. He also informed her the genders of the babies, two boys and the runt was female. Nix couldn't take it. She thanked frost for all this help, thanked him for his mates help and then demanded he give her the runt. Knowing the girls heart, how caring she was and how he knew she had loved his mate, he agreed. He knew the child rate of living was not high.

And so nix had to do something, she couldn't go home. She couldn't survive alone. She needed supplies. For the list time in her life, she went back to her room. She climbed in and took a rucksack of clothes and then turned to the door to sneak down to the kitchen only to find her brother standing in the door way. She started back from him and then saw his face, the boy had tears running down from his eyes. He offered her a bag of food and a big bottle of water and then something nix didn't know, a round ball with a button that clicked. He told her that they knew she had gone missing but no one minded, she was an odd girl and few knew she was even alive so this helped them. He couldn't go with her or offer her any more help with getting in to trouble but she was still his little sister. He had never done anything kind towards her, he had even got her in trouble and so in to beating as a younger child but something had changed in him. whatever it was, nix took his offerings and hugged her brother for the first and last time before she fled the home and whole region.

Nix found herself sneaking on a boat and she hide under the stores for the time it traveled, she sneaked milk from the kitchen to feed her partner and soon the little eevee grew to the size her brothers had been. Nix named her shadow for the color of her fur and the pair were soon bonded like nothing else, they were indeed sisters. Nix grew bolder as time went on and started to head out on to the boats deck with her sister and she found herself marveling at the people, they spoke in funny voices unlike the Pokemon did! They said new sounds and words unlike anything she knew, so she started to try and learn them. She didn't know what she said when the sounds came out but people turned and looked and nodded so that had to be good! She was found one day singing a song that she didn't even know by a girl, older than her and clearly amused by the girl who didn't know what she was saying. The older girl named herself as Gracie and offered to teach nix words for the remaining fortnight of the trip and nix took her up on her offer for the chance to meet a real Pokemon, Gracie's partner was a Rufflet named Ruffle. Something nix found very funny . Nix watched gracie battle with her partner in exchange for lessons in words, giving rise to her wanting to help her sister get stronger and evolve too! the trip ended all too soon and nix parted ways with her new friend, now able to speak pretty well and with the desire to make her own Pokemon team and to help them fulfill their life wishes.


Knowing no other way to do this, she wandered in to the new region and found herself being shown towards the lab that was nearby. She took a moment to pause beside the female and ask who she was and why she was helping all these people she didnt know, of course the woman explained she was a ranger and here in this region they were sort of the natural protectors of pokemon whereas police cared for the humans and nix found herself telling her she would be joining up with these rangers once she had her new pokemon! Of course she put this off, wandering in to the region and passing the time for a long while exploring and travelling the region. She kept meaning to go to the lab, she'll get there at some point, but she wanted to know the region better before she got her pokemon and went on to be the ranger she promised to be
