Working From Home --- EXP Thread

Why Akira had not thought to do some training here with one of his pokemon rather than specifically going out into the wild areas or anything of the sort before now he would not know but then again he'd had other things on his mind so it were only understandable to varying degree's. But now that such things for the most part would not be an issue and since he had more than plenty of space here in order to get some extra training done with one of his other pokemon without too much fear of incurring too much damage - and by default a fine of some kind to make up for said damage - had Akira encouraged Quinn to join him out in the expansive area that spread around his home.

Much like his own discomfort of being around the dual headed snake - even if such feelings had dulled in time - the Ekans had become somewhat uncomfortable with visiting the dojo due to the fact that so many individuals would say hurtful things to the snake that would cause her to become somewhat depressed and unwilling to do anything except curl up until the male human agreed to take her home again. So to counter that particular issue Akira had ensured that the snake had agreed to do some training around here rather than go anywhere else until such a time she were happy enough to do so.

"Alright then Quinn, simple challenge for you today. You catch that remote controlled toy that Sneasel in playing with enough times and you get extra helpings for dinner. Even if you don't you'll still get plenty to eat don't worry - just might include some extra goodies." So, motivation offered tot eh Ekans and both heads eagerly nodding and licking their lips with the extra treats that she knew would come her way would be enough to get the snake rushing off and attempting to succeed in the task set for her.

Time for the hunt to begin.

Now this would indeed be a strange sight to see should Akira have chosen to go anywhere else other than here at home to do such things, a miniature apple pie floating forth from the raven haired humans hand as he watched it slowly float away from him and into one of the waiting jaws of Quinn. Well, ok so maybe his training methods were a little strange on occasion when it came to his pokemon but taking into consideration that it served a dual purpose then where was the harm in doing this?

"Good girl Quinn, now you both have had one each you think you can manage to distribute all the others to everyone else so they can try them?" Akira would ask in a curious and encouraging manner as he gestured to the large selection of various sweet cakes and pies that were spread across the kitchen worktop then their combined waiting pokemon companions both inside and outside for their own treats to come their way.

Of course it were indeed a tough ask since the Ekans were still getting used to her new found psychic abilities - a detail which had too surprised Akira when she had shown signs of being able to use such - but he had figured this were the better way of getting her to learn to sue it and get a treat for it in turn. Thankfully however it would seem that whatever concerns the dual headed snake would have about 'handing out' the treats to all the others were unfounded for with a bit of time she managed such before slithering back over to Akira as he cleared up.

Of course she were expecting the typical flinching that the human male often displayed in her presence which she had since learnt to ignore after having it explained that it were nothing against her that made him uneasy. Instead would she be surprised by each head receiving a gentle and steady stroking for a time and an extra treat each for a job well done.

It had been so humid all throughout the summer that even for those who were to prefer such hot temperatures were starting to get more than a little uncomfortable and surprisingly grumpy in many cases, which were indeed unusual in many cases since such individuals were often more cheerful or otherwise generally happy in comparison. Well, Nuka couldn't have that! Not if it were as a result putting everyone on edge and generally spoiling the whole atmosphere in the house and making life unbearable for everyone involved.

This had been reasoning enough for the icy Sandshrew to have been so busy with making efforts to create a cool place out in the gardens - most notably in a particularly shady area that were to protect the ice structure even jsut a little from the direct sunlight - that Nuka would have begun his work. First had been the thick layering of snow that would cover the ground before starting to create large chuncks of ice that would almost look like miniture icebergs even of they were on land, of course Nuka would not stop there for he would even make the effort to create several large 'icebergs' for those who would wish to try cool off in the nearby large pond also.

Once such area's had been completed had the small ice type ensured that he had summoned all his companions to show of his litttle cool area's for them all to enjoy much to everyone's detail - well, who said that the simple thigns in life could not be enjoyable?

Nico had been so disappointed, he had been so looking forward to being the one that would be taken to the dojo to do some training with Akira but it had turned out the raven haired human had other plans in mind when it came to that. Which as a result had caused the small and young Gible to become somewhat upset at the knowledge that he would not be able to spend some one on one time with his human counterpart. Sure it had been more than a little true that there were plenty of future opportunities for such a thing to occur but the little dragon had been so looking forward to doing it today rather than any other time.

It had been for that very reason that although the little guy had not outright been crying he had instead been sniffling sadly to himself while having wandered out in the safety of the gardens that were attached to the human make's home while feeling sorry for himself. So distracted had the little Gible had become that it would take a solid object in the form of an apple falling upon his head while passing under the very tree the fruit had come from that could cause a cry of alarm to escape the small dragon and rub his head a little while looking angrily between the offending object and the heavily laden branches high above him.

Nico would have kicked the fruit away if it had not been for the fact that with a little rumble from his stomach that he would be reminded how hungry he was, though just the one apple would not quite satisfy the small dragon and there were just as much chance of many of his fellow pokemon companions would be tempted by the fruit. Well, that was a more than good plan! And everyone would be so happy with the apples too!

It would be with that that multiple attempts at using his Sandstorm attack that Nico would firstly manage to detach the ripest apples from the tree branches and carefully bring them to the ground without causing further harm to the fruit, himself or - as time wore on - the others who had noticed what the small Gible were up to and had come over to firstly watch then congratulate the little boy on what he had done before all would tuck into the fruits.

Leola had not minded one bit when Akira had taken the little Trapinch to the dojo rather than her even when he had promised her such a thing, in fact the large Milotic had encouraged such a thing since she would just as easily manage to do what she wished to do from the comfort of home.

And as it were to turn out such a choice had been a good one on account of the fact that though the large water type had begun to practice some of her moves it had not taken all too long for her plans to change slightly. More so when she had taken note of the young Togetic that had up until recently been playing quite happily by the water's edge with the little toy train that their joint human had gifted the little fairy but now it seemed said toy had somehow vanished and Tim were looking mournfully into the waters depths.

It didn't take much to realise just what the problem was and upon sinking beneath the surface of the water it would soon become evident that the assumption made of it having been dropped into the water had been true. With that did the motherly Milotic grasp the small toy and begin to rise slowly lest she scare of the young fairy type before emerging before the youngster to a cheerful cry being issued forth at seeing what were placed before him.

From there would the youngster rush forward happily to hug Leola in a grateful manner before being encouraged to climb upon her back for a little ride around the 'pond', an offer that Tim were quick to take before holding firmly yet carefully onto Leola ass she set of at a slow yet steady pace.

After all the stress and hard work that she had been put under for the recent contest though Leni had indeed highly enjoyed herself - especially in the knowledge that although it were clear Akira had been worried about the performance as a whole it had instead turned out extremly well - it did not mean that the small Cherubi were not glad that it were also done and over with for now and she would be allowed to rest and enjoy herself for as much and as long as she would wish.

Though strangely for the small Cherubi this would mean wandering through the gardens that surrounded her human's home, more so taking into consideration that if there were one thing that the Cherubi loved to do - along with the Oddish that were owned by Akira - was to ensure that whenever it were possible and the weather were fine was tom ensure all the plants would grow well especially when amongst all the flowers and other plants that made the place look nice there were the odd fruit tree's growing along with some hardy vegatables. It had taken some convincing for such things to have been bought in seed form but as it had turned out Leni had been right when it had ben something of an investment now that they would have a steady supply of such things so long as such things were well tended and plenty of seeds were bought to ensure such.

So with her plans in mind would Leni have completed the walk to her destination after having ensured that she had been followed by the large Drampa that were essentially looming over the small grass type while carrying a basket of sorts would Leni begin issuing her instructions - well, demands - for what vegetables needed picking for today along with some of the fruit all the while ensuring that it would make it back to the house rather than straight into the flufffy dragon's stomach; that was going to be the biggest challenge.

This still felt so strange to Theo, sure the little Trapinch had once belonged to a trainer some time ago then spent a short time in the wild after being abandoned then come to find himself in the care of the dark haired human that were to look after him now but the sense of unease and fear that the human - whom the ohter pokemon called Akira - would abandon him like his previous one was still more than present and caused a certain amount of axiety for the ground type also. So much that it were often to the point where there would be a significant temptation to just leave this place rather than being hurt again in the knowledge that there were going to be a day soon that it would happen again but also there were another part of him that would make efforts to convince himself that this would not happen and this time was entirely different.

However it would not stop the Trapinch from having wandered forth out into the large garden and towards the fence line to halt and look out at the wild world beyond the place that had become his home, all Theo would have to do was either push his way through the fence or use his strong jaws to create enough of a gap to move through it and leave lest he get hurt again. It had been here that Akira had found the little guy after having grown concerned about where he had gone off to and come searching to find the ground type distractedly gazing outwards, not that Theo would be distracted for too much longer for the sounds of footsteps then gentle hands encircling his body to lift him up into the arms of the human male were all it took to get the smaller male focused back upon what were happening.

"There you are Theo, I was wondering where you were. Think you can help me out? Nico needs some help with creating a mud bath think you can manage to do that with him?" Akira would asked after a time while motioning back over to the Gible in question who seemed to be trying and failing to do as the human male had said, it had been the sight of the small dragon's efforts that would cause the small smile to form upon the Trapinch's features before offering a nod to show he would help before Akira would carry him over to the awaiting Gible.

Yes, he was going to be just fine here there were nothing to worry about.

It had been a particularly long and tough day for everyone in and around the Raine residence this day, for there had been a lot of work to be done in general with doing some housekeeping amongst other things today so it had been a day mostly spent at home for Akira and his vast collection of pokemon.

So busy everyone had been that unsurprisingly they all had been more than glad when it were to the point that it were bed time and able to get some much needed rest, it would seem however that despite the weariness that would overcome the majority of them all Akira would be struggling to get to sleep. Though there had been one of his many pokemon that were naturally concerned for the human male and keen to help him in some way - this being in the form of young Delta who had insisted upon sneaking into Akira's room for the night and had curled up next to the dark haired coordinator and had spent some time softly singing to him.

And surprisingly after what seemed to be an age such a thing seemed to succeed on account of the fact that Delta would soon become silent as the sounds of soft breathing / snoring could be heard coming from Akira. A satisfied smile formed upon the Seel's features before she too in time would drift off to sleep.
