He wasn’t sure how he felt about this new canine. Ryoko eyed the young riolu, arms folded over his chest. It was the same species as him, but looked and acted different than he. He couldn’t help but feel the need to keep an eye on him. His human tried to tell him that he was a variant of his. It would explain their difference but it wasn’t enough for the lucario. Genesis grinned either way and moved behind the punching bag.

Standing behind a punching bag and bracing herself behind it, the woman gave the lucario firm nod. The fighting and steel type rose a brow, unsure if she could handle his punch. She grinned, giving him another nod. Determination in his face, the canine draw his arm back and thrusted his fist into the bag. It barely moved, the human grunting when the blow hit. Green orbs flickered to the canine, nodding again.

For the next several hours, the lucario continued to punch the bag with all his might. One after another, he was sure each hit was a solid one. Soon, his muscles started to hurt and his fist was sore. His muzzle parted, panting from exhaustion while his human moved out from behind the bag. She grinned, huffing and puffing herself. Hopefully, this will help his punches hit harder.

It took every last bit of energy and convincing to get Nisha out to train today. The poor thing really thinks that all bad things happen because of her being around. And no matter how hard the breeder tried to tell the absol she can just predict the bald luck and not the bad luck itself, Nisha just doesn’t believe her. But after telling the young absol that she needs to get stronger in order to protect her future babies, that trick somehow worked. Genesis ran with it. She did feel bad though, the absol so desperately wants to be a mother and all these new puppies aren’t helping.

The white sphinx gave the human largest puppy eyes, the sheer notion that she will have offspring in the future made her take the risk of moving closer to the closest thing she called her own mother. Each step was careful, precise, and tense. This, like most of her life, was dangerous. Yet, her human made a good point. She had to be strong to protect her future children.

Leaping onto the starting platform, the feline like creature meet the green orbs of her human mother. Genesis let a small comforting smile spread across her lips, giving her a firm nod. Nishari wasn’t convinced. The raven hated woman pulled out a stop watch, readying herself to run the course with the absol. She counted down, tapping the button to start the time. Together the pair ran the course, the absol taking her time waiting for disaster to strike. Yet by the time they returned to the platform, nothing bad had happen. Genesis praised the absol, but she still kept her guard up. Never does she want something bad to happen to the one creature she has known sense birth.

It was hard to convince her shulian poochyena to do some special training today. Jiraiya didn’t seem to like the idea of battling and training. However, Genesis was starting to get use to dealing with pokemon who don’t want to train. Despite being still young, the breeder has learned much about this pup. His behaviors, things he likes, and dislikes. Grinning, the woman motioned for the dark and ground type to come over. She began to explain, tell him to search for the berries she had hidden around the place.

To this, the canine seemed to pick up some. And when Genesis told him to search, the canine didn’t hesitate to began in the search. Nostrils flared, searching for the scents of the berries. In no time, the canine searched through the place. He was quick to find things, not taking long to find all the berries she hide throughout the place. Although it wasn’t battling her say, this did get the canine much needed exercise. This would good endurance for the canine for future battles. Soon, the basket that was empty was filled with berries and the shulian poohcyena was panting out of breath. Genesis smiled, it was a start.

After taking last week off to rest and to do some much needed self care, the raven haired woman was back at it once more. And despite Genesis putting her whole team to work, the breeder felt that it was her furfrou who was lacking the most training amongst her pack. So today, Genesis spent the good part of the morning setting up an agility course. She put a lot of attention into being sure it would be a good workout for him.

“Alright Togo,” the woman mumbled, turning to the furfrou by her side, “Are you ready to train today?” The ungroomed canine barked happily, bouncing left and right on his paws while his tail wagged feverishly. “Great,” she beamed, moving to the starting line with the canine hot on her heels, “We will start here.” Togo barked enthusiastically, bouncing on his paws even more.

Pulling out her stop watch, getting herself ready. “On your mark. Get set. Go!” The pair rushed forward towards their first obstacle, Genesis waving a treat before Togo’s very eyes to encourage him to follow. His muzzle parted, tongue fell out in a pant as he eyes widened at the sight of the delicious food she had. “Alright, up and over Togo.” The breeder moved the treat up one side of the a-frame, Togo in hot pursuit. Within seconds, the canine was up one side and over. “Great job,” she praised, teasing the treat, “let’s keep it up.”

It was strange to think that just four years ago, Genesis just arrived in Shula with nothing more than a dream and a growlithe by her side. Now, the raven haired woman owned so many pokemon and her dream has just started to become true. Even as her green orbs fell upon the hisuian growlithe, she couldn’t hold back the smile that spread across her deep red glossy lips. Memphis was only one of many offspring of Evo, that same growlithe the woman started with, and Kirala, the second pokemon to join her team. Although his appearance might be different from the rest of the family, it was clear that Genesis was doing something right to produce such a rare and ancient creature.

“Memphis,” the woman called out, drawling the attention of said canine, “Over here. We got some training to do.” At that note, the rock and fire type darted to the human. A series of muffled almost old sounding barks escaped him despite only being very young. The canine stood tall, tail wagged though an air of seriousness was over him. The woman gesture to the platform, explaining to the young pup what this agility course is and what she expects him to do. And after it seemed like he understood the gist of what she was expecting of him, it was time to set out.

On her mark, the pair darted off. Genesis guided him through the course. Though the tunnel, a scary obstacle for many young pups in training but Memphis didn’t hesitate. That’s good. It showed her he had no fear for the unknown, good for battling but not so much when it came to adventuring. Next, the a frame. The hisuian creature started up one side of the incline, showing no fear again. And even as he peaked over the tippy top, he only slowed down for a moment to understand he has to slow down. Good. A great sense of judgement. Once down, it was the poles. This one was a struggle for the canine. Being a thicker built, weaving in and out was not the quickest but that can be worked on over time. The jumping poles easy. The balance beam was alright. Genesis had to slow him down in order to get him to wait for the other end to fall. Not bad, just needs work. And back to the platform, where the humans stopped the stopwatch. Over all, good start.

A chill ran down the woman’s spine, though she tried to hide it the best she could from the shiny trapinch. It couldn’t be helped though. There was something about bugs that gave her creeps. And despite Rivah not being of the bug type per say, she still looked buggy to the raven haired woman. It’s not her fault though. And with that in mind, the breeder sucked it up and told herself to deal with it. The shiny trapinch was still her pokemon darn it.

Genesis spent the day setting up a smaller agility course for the little creature. Removing things like the jump poles and the teeter tooter out of fear, Rivah would get hurt. And after the course was full set up, green orbs shifted to the shiny pokemon who glared at her. Weirdly if you asked Genesis. The woman flinched, taking a slight step back from to put some space between them. “Hey Rivah,” she greet, a light choppy fake chuckle escaped her, “Ready to start?” The bug eyed her, moving to the platform. Even the way it moved creeped her out. This was going to be a long day.

Following after the creature, Genesis stood (a few feet away) by the platform with her. She began to explain the course, finger hovered over the button in preparation for the training to start. Rivah leaped into action, crawling towards the first obstacle. A heavy sigh escaped her, finger pressed the starting button and gave chase. Rivah ran up the bridge, crawling across it and coming down with no issue. Next, darted through the tunnel and came out the other end. So far, so good. She came to the poles, her head too big for the tiny gaps. That didn’t stop her though. Once forcing her way in and out of the poles, she made her way to the a frame. And by some miracle, she went up and over. Genesis was shocked. And soon enough, the course was completed. The breeder nodded, impressed by her time.

Izumi was devastated when she found out that her human picked Evo and Kirala to partake in the most recent contest. And no matter how much of a fuss the fennekin put up, Genesis refused to let her be the one to attempt to bring home the ribbon. Of course, her human was generous enough to put the right channel in the tv to let her see the competition. But still, Izumi has been depressed sense then.

However, the breeder promised that she could be in the next contest if she trained some more. And if thats all it took to convince her to let her be in the next contest, Izumi was train her heart out. The fire fox even went the extra mile to help the woman set up the agility course today. And once the equipment was set up to the raven haired woman’s liking, both the human and pokemon moved to the starting platform. Genesis pulled out the stop watch, finger hovered over the button.

A firm click sounded off the pair darted forward. The first tasked was the poles, weaving in and out easily and no time at all. Next, the a frame. Her face twisted into concentration, darting up one side swiftly before dipping down on the other side. Slow and steady. Leaping off the back, the three different heights were next. The first, easy. The second, almost clipped the bar. And last, easy. Her eyes were set on the tunnel, ducking down and zooming without an issue. Out the other side, Izumi ran to the balance beam. This one always startled her. But, not today. Easy. And after a few more jumps, the pair ran to the platform and stopped the time. Both huffed and buffed. Surely, this will convince her that she was ready.
