Saiya was true to her species. A little trickster. And after the last stun she attempted to pull during her last battle, the raven haired woman needed to try and figure out a way to train her without her attempting to cheat. Deciding not to use the ability course this time around, the woman opted to just do a straight up battle. And luckily, Kirala offered to help.

Genesis stood behind the zorua, giving the rockruff a firm nod. Kirala had plenty of battle experience, so this would be a tough match for the zorua. Genesis command for Saiya to use scratch. But instead, the creature already tried to charm Kirala. She tried the ‘we are pack mates’ trick. The rockruff didn’t fall for it. Taking advantage of the zorua, the canine came in hot to tackle into the dark fox. However, Saiya actually had a brain. A flash of red in her eyes, detecting her path and evading the tackle. Genesis was proud of her.

Again, Saiya tried the we are friends trick. Kirala ignored her, turning around to kick up rocks to throw at the fox. Saiya attempted to dodge, but it failed. She got buried in the rock, knocking her out cold. Genesis sighed, moving to collected her dark fox. She explained to the weak zoura why she lost, but the fox didn’t care. Genesis thanked the rockruff for her help. Next time, Genesis might need to be a little more creative with her approach on teaching this one.

Unlike the rest of her pokemon, this one was going to be different. Instead of setting up an agility course for a creature to run through until they could achieve a goal, Genesis wanted to better prefect his shifting ability. Not only to shift into that creature, but the speed and accuracy as well. He needed to learn to quickly adept to different forms, types, and moves. Koji has a lot to learn and today, Genesis wanted to see how much he already knows. After all, this will be the first she seen him in action.

“Okay Koji,” the woman smiled, hand waved over the five pokemon who stood in a line before them, “We are going to first see how fast you can transform from one to the next. After that, we will move on to another part of this training. Okay.” The ditto nodded feverishly, ready to prove to this human who took him in he was strong. Blob like arms protruded out from its sides to in a fist pump formation. “Great. Let’s go, one at a time as fast as you can.”

For the rest of the day, Koji the ditto transformed through the line of pokemon that Genesis provided. Although the woman would admit she was sorta limited because of her selective choice of pokemon, it still should provide enough to give the ditto enough training for the day. In the end, only time will time if this training method would prove good enough.

the breeder promised that she could be in the next contest if she trained some more. And if thats all it took to convince her to let her be in the next contest, Izumi was train her heart out. The fire fox even went the extra mile to help the woman set up the agility course today. And once the equipment was set up to the raven haired woman’s liking, both the human and pokemon moved to the starting platform. Genesis pulled out the stop watch, finger hovered over the button.

A firm click sounded off the pair darted forward. The first tasked was the poles, weaving in and out easily and no time at all. Next, the a frame. Her face twisted into concentration, darting up one side swiftly before dipping down on the other side. Slow and steady. Leaping off the back, the three different heights were next. The first, easy. The second, almost clipped the bar. And last, easy.

Her eyes were set on the tunnel, ducking down and zooming without an issue. Out the other side, Izumi ran to the balance beam. This one always startled her. But, not today. Easy. And after a few more jumps, the pair ran to the platform and stopped the time. Both huffed and buffed. Surely, this will convince her that she was ready.

It was time to get some good old fashion personal training in. And this time around, it was Ascar who would get some one on one training in. The little black and white normal type bounced on her feet, tongue out panting like a dog. She tried to mimic a bark, coming out more of a strange squeak than anything else. It did however, make the raven haired woman giggle. In that, was what the little galarian zigzagoon wanted.

Genesis spend her whole morning moving things around, being sure that the little critter has plenty of room to move about and burn some energy. Ascar kept close to her side, even trying to help in any way she could. A few hours had pass before the agility course was ready, the woman plucking the creature off the ground and moving to the starting platform.

“It’s time to get some of your energy out. Are you ready?” The galarian zigzagoon nodded eagerly, bowing with its bushy tail int he air. The raven haired woman pulled out her stop watch, clicking the button to start the course. The pair darted through the course, running through the poles and over the a-frame. This a frame was smaller of course, Genesis adjusting it to the pokemon size. Ascar blazed through the tunnel, really enjoying that one. In and out of the poles, panting all the while. A few juggle gyms later and the pair made it back to the platform, both out of breath.

In the hopes to better prepare her team for the first gym challenge to come, the breeder has taken a different approach to training this week. Instead of her pokemon running an agility course design by her to increase their stamina and speed, it was time to work on their aim and durability so to speak. And this time around, it would be Evo the Growlithe who will take front stage as her test dummy to see how effective this type of training would be.

“Our first gym specializes in dark typing. With that in mind, I asked Nymeria, Nisha, and Saiya all to help us.” Genesis let her green orbs flickered over trio of dark types, offering a small smile and a nod before her gaze fell upon her growlithe again. “You will be battling each of them, one on one. Try to last as long as you can. Be smart and stay on your toes.” Evo the Growlithe gave a firm nod in return, determination in his eyes as Saiya was first to step up.

Unfortunately, Saiya wasn’t much of a challenge for Evo. She was still young and after only exchanging three moves, she was out cold. Still. Progress was progress. Genesis turned to Nisha, thanking her for help as she took to the plate. Of course, the absol was a bit more of a change. She was able to worn him out much more than Saiya. But alas, Evo was still the victor in the end. Smiling, the breeder gave Nymeria a nod. She would be the most experienced out of the three, giving Evo a run for his money with him already weakened. This battle will be interesting to say the least.

Unlike Evo, Kirala wanted an actual battle tor practice for the dark gym. And the only one that could prove a change, would be Nymeria. Of course, the poochyena didn’t want to. It took some real convincing to get her to agree to do this. But after several hours of Kirala begging the canine, somehow she got her to agree to it and actually try to win the fight. Kirala moved to one side of the small clearing by their house while Nymeria moved to the other. Genesis stood on the sidelines, doing her best to hide her smile.

Genesis counted down and the practice battle began. Kirala started the battle with a nasty looking leer at the poochyena, forcing her to second guess herself. And in that moment of hesitation, the rockruff darted towards her in a tackle. Their bodies collided, a small whine escaped nymeria but she didn’t back down. The dark dog darted towards the rock dog, muzzle parted to bite down on the little rockeuffs tail.

She yipped, paws dug into the each to sand attack her. The sand blasted her eyes, being forced to let go and put some distance between them as she tried to get the sand out of her eyes. Kirala once again, too advance of her. She double teamed herself before sending a rock throw in her direction. Over all, the battle didn’t last long at all. Kirala was the victory leaving Nymeria beaten up and nearly blinded.

A frown formed along the raven haired woman’s deep red glossy lips. Brows scrunched, eyes filled with concerned. “I don’t think this is a good idea Telso,” the breeder mumbled, hand rose to rest her fingers on her chin, “I know you want to become stronger. I get it. But, this doesn’t seem right.” The electrike nose scrunched, a look of annoyance in his eyes. “I can handle it.” Genesis emitted an inaudible uncomfortable noise, but tried to trust her canine.

Moving to the outskirts of the dojo, Genesis gave Kirala a nod. The rockruff snorted, her own beady eyes on Teslo. “Are you sure about this Teslo? I agree with master, this doesn’t feel right.” The electric canine growled bitterly, but gave them both a firm nod. “I told you it will be fine. Let me have it.” Again, the human in the background grunted but was ignore.

Kirala sighed, but gave a single nod. Her expression turned serious, eyes filled with determination as the rocks around her neck began to glow. A sudden multi color orbs formed above her tail. Swiftly, the robs breaks into several white glow rocks and fires at the canine. The electrike snarled, eyes on the rocks as he attempted the fast moving rocks that were hurled his way. Unfortunately, his moments weren’t fast enough. A few of the rock clocked him, sending him tumbling a few paces back.

“Telso,” both the female called out.

“I’m fine,” the canine replied, his tone filled with pain as he got slowly to his feet, “Let’s do it again.” “Teslo I don’t think-“ “Again.” Genesis frowned, green orbs shifted to Kirala. Kirala met her gaze, both shared a connecting without words being spoken. In the ned, both nodded to each other and turned their attention back on Teslo. “Alright. It it comes again Teslo. Eyes up.” This was going to be a long day.
