It was hard to convince her shulian poochyena to do some special training today. Jiraiya didn’t seem to like the idea of battling and training. However, Genesis was starting to get use to dealing with pokemon who don’t want to train. Despite being still young, the breeder has learned much about this pup. His behaviors, things he likes, and dislikes. Grinning, the woman motioned for the dark and ground type to come over. She began to explain, tell him to search for the berries she had hidden around the place.

To this, the canine seemed to pick up some. And when Genesis told him to search, the canine didn’t hesitate to began in the search. Nostrils flared, searching for the scents of the berries. In no time, the canine searched through the place. He was quick to find things, not taking long to find all the berries she hide throughout the place. Although it wasn’t battling her say, this did get the canine much needed exercise. This would good endurance for the canine for future battles. Soon, the basket that was empty was filled with berries and the shulian poochyena was panting out of breath. Genesis smiled, it was a start.

Despite the surprised evolution and change in Kofu’s physical appearance, the male pokemon hasn’t changed one bit. He was cold, distant, and lazy. In same ways, maybe it was destiny that he accidentally evolved into a glaceon. His personality fit the evolution to a T. However, the breeder really didn’t want Kovu to evolve until he matured more. But alas, there as nothing she could do for him now. Just except it, and move on.

“Kovu,” the woman grumbled, annoyance in her tone, “You need to get some training in. You need to learn your body and its limits. Come on. Battle against Akaash.” The icy vulpix stood, strutting his stuff as he made it to his side of the large battling area. The glaceon turned his head away, refusing to battle. The breeder crossed her arms over her chest, glaring darkly at the glaceon. Kovu, curious, turned his gaze to see what his human was doing. And went he did, he felt the sting of an angry trainer.

“Fine,” Kovu hissed, moving to his side of the pretend battlefield, “But I don’t ever want to battle again after this.” Genesis rolled her eyes, but expected the somewhat win. And once both pokemon were in position, the raven haired woman started the battle. The two exchanged blows, Akaash surprisingly putting in some effort despite his normal laziness as well. In the end, the Allan vulpix ended up winning the fight. Kovu not use to his new body enough to be effective in battle.

The breeder was buzzing with excitement after her latest stop and purchase at the local pokemon stores. Although it costed her more money than she wanted to spend at the moment, how could she refused such a rare and stunning creature like it. However, today wasn’t the day to think or focus on that. Leaving the newly bought egg at home to be taken care of and watched over by her pokemon, Genesis choice her cute little camper for some special training.

The little electric pup let out a series of yips, stubby tail wagged feverishly back and forth. Genesis smiled, adjusting the last bit of the agility course she had memorized now for her younger pack members. And as soon as Stryker noticed this, little feet pushed him swiftly to the starting platform. He leaped onto it, nearly missing it and scorpioning onto it. Genesis stifled a laugh, moving to the platform with him and pulling out her stop watch. The yamper was ready, wanting to get stronger for the sake of the packs well being. He was so eager to fit in, the canine wanted to prove himself.

Genesis counted down, shouting go as soon as her finger pressed the button. The pair darted off, tackling each obstacle one by one. The poles and tunnels were easy for the little canine. The jumping poles, a frame, and even the balance beam were difficult for him. And after running the course, the puppy was panting hard. Despite this exhausting, Stryker wanted to do again. He moved to the starting platform again, letting out another series of barks to get his human to came back for another round. The breeder let out a soft chuckle and shook her head, but agreed.

It was kind of a tradition for anyone who joined Genesis’s pack to do their first ever training session with the equipment provided. As such, the woman spent most of the day setting up the old fashion agility course she often used on the young. Despite it being mostly for canine or four legged creatures, it seemed to work pretty well on other pokemon as well. It was only after she had it all set up that she summoned her creature to train.

The smeargle materialized, gaze took in her surrounding before they fell on the human. The breeder began to explain how this will work, what she expected, and anything else in between. It was only when it was clear what was to be done, did the woman and pokemon move to the starting point. Pulling out her stop watch, she counted down from ten. And at one, the pair were off.

With everything that has happened to her over the last year, Genesis found even herself struggling with the once simple agility course. The smeargle had an easier than she, weaving in and out of the poles like it was nothing. The tunnels didn’t phase her, nor did the balance beam. In fact, Art had a smile on her face the entire time. The jumping poles did provide some trouble, the creature not very tall. And last, the a frame. Easy done. By the time they finished, both were breathing heavy. However, this was only the start.

With one special training down, it was time to tackle the next. Luckily, the home gym didn’t have a closing time. And with spring in the air, it meant that the sun didn’t go down as early as before. Although the tree did cast the area into early darkness, it wasn’t something Genesis couldn’t handle with some outdoor lighting and such. She was also luck enough to be able to move her equipment around to fit her needs.

It was also helpful that the one training today was young. This would be their first training session leaving the breeder plenty of time after setting up to give the course a run. The snubbull let out a series of playful excited barks, eager to get some training in. She hated being treated like a weak cute puppy. She was tough and wanted to train to make that a point.

Moving to the starting platform, the pair got ready. Like always, the raven haired woman explained everything to the newer pup. And only after pulling out the stop watch, did the true test begin. Finger came down on the button, pushing the pair to run the course. It proved difficult for the pup, struggling to complete some of the things that Genesis didn’t think she would struggle with. In the end, the snubbull hang her head in shame. The breeder was quick to tell the pup it’s alright, always gotta start somewhere.

With how poorly her last special training session went, Genesis felt the need to do another round with her this week. Again, the breeder spent most of the morning organizing and thoughtful planning out a beginner yet challenging agility course for this day. And when it was finally completed, the raven haired beamed with delight. It was her best one yet.

Hands clasped together, green orbs shifted to the light grey poochyena that lazy napped on the side the whole day. “Alright Nymeria,” the human started, moving to kneel down to the canine’s level, “We are going to train twice as hard this time.” Her hand rose, pointer finger shifted abruptly to her nose and pushed gingerly into her. “I mean it Ny. I’m very disappointed with your last session. No messing around this time.” The force of the little push made her nose tingle, forcing her to sneeze.

The human stood, moving to the starting point she made. Twisting her torso to give the canine a look, her finger wiggled for her to come closer. Nymeria grunted, rising to her paws and slowly trotting to her master. With a stiff nod, the woman readied herself. Genesis will force her to train until she dropped. It would be good for her. Yeah. “And… go!”

The pair darted forward, running through the poles, over the a frame, through the tunnel, over little jumps, and across a beam until they reached the finish line. Both were out of breath, but Genesis wasn’t going to rest. “Again. Faster. Let’s go!”
