All Bii heard was berries and she was in. She vaguely understood Halloween. She’d experienced fall outside before, after all. But… Well, she just knew people did scary things (wasn’t into that) and gave out treats (she was of mixed opinions about most candy outside of mints, chocolate, and straight sugar) so at first she wasn’t going to do anything. Then, she heard of the berry maze. Surely, surely they’d let her keep something if she found anything good here!
Bii was nearly buzzing with excitement as she waited for her chance to enter the berry maze. It was still too bright and early, so Star was idly holding one of the ranger’s hands in her maw as a guide. Getting lost in here would be particularly troublesome for the deino.
Not that Inkwell would let that happen. The luxio was looking forward to relaxing. Her tail swished. While Bii might not have been into frights, she was looking forward a bit to dancing with fake danger. The idea of a scare so good it set her fur on end tickled her! Bii could collect her berries. (Was that allowed?) Inkwell would focus on the frightening delights.
“I wonder if they’ve got Jason in here?” the luxio mewed.
“... Who’s Jason?” Bii asked, perfectly oblivious.
Inkwell shook her head. It was their turn and she walked forward with the other two following. “Don’t worry about it. I’ll tell you if we see someone dressed up like that.”

Now as Bii and her chosen pair of pokemon would head towards the entrance of the literal berry maze that had been grown especially for the event that had gained the attention of so many already and much like the gijinka woman had brought them all here in order to explore this large place seeking out what creepy offerings it held. At first glance and before entry the 'maze' itself wouldn't really look like much beyond a messily planted batch of berry plants, however when the gijinka woman and her team would come to move past the entrance and make her way upon and down the path that stretch before her the brightness of the day giving way to the gloom within. Such a drastic change it would make anyone would be forgiven for thinking that night had already fallen, granted maybe some more akin to the early hours of twilight when there were still a faint hint of sunlight left but also not to the point where it were easy to see if not aided by the strings of spooky lights that were strung up in the tree's. It would give off an air of being a peaveful walk through the berry tree / corn maze - had it not been for the eerie and generally spooky laughter that would echo mysteriously through the air and would seem to surround the trio as distant dimly lit figures darted out just out of proper sight and reach. Several minutes would pass allowing the gijinka woman and her pokemon to move further into the maze. By the effort that had been put into the lights and various cutouts that they would pass it were certainly more than clear that so many were hoping for this event to turn out well the further they moved through the maze until they would eventually come to a point where the path would split into two different directions before them. WHAT WILL YOU CHOOSE? -

It got so dark so suddenly in here! It quickly changed from Bii guiding Star to Star pulling Bii along. The deino felt relieved, though. She’d been very worried she wouldn’t be able to appreciate the maze, but here she felt very in her element. Inkwell, being a feline, faired better than their deerling-hybrid companion, but all three moved well enough along together.
Inkwell’s ears and tail were twitching like crazy. Primal instincts to follow the flashes of movements left her spinning every now and then. She felt so excited! This sort of thing was just up her alley! The electric type’s claws flexed, sheathed and unsheathed.
“Aw, this is a riot already!” she mewed.
Bii frowned. “... I don’t like the noise…” The laughter, she meant. “... The maze is nice, though.”
Star spat out the woman’s hand long enough to gently nuzzle her side. “S’okay! Let’s just focus on getting to the middle! How about… right! Let’s go right!” With that, she took Bii’s hand in her mouth again and guided her along.
Inkwell followed after. “Woohoo!” When was the last time the luxio got to cut loose like this?
Headed Right.
